[dumb blond tone]Well, I know that I'm going to buy 10 acres and build myself a summer home there. I mean, it's the Moon. I, like, don't get how you could buy it, and it's kind of, like, pointless, but at least the moon would go well with my $4000 shoes! OMG![/dumb blond tone]
And can someone please fix the title, it is really bugging me.
As you can see, if tennisman could change it at will, he would. But since only a mod can do it, it's probably going to stay like this for a while. Remember, they have better things to do...
As of now it is pointless to buy a portion of the moon. You can't do much on the moon and you can't live their. So what is the purpose of trying to buy the moon? Maybe in the future people will be able to live on the moon but the moon cannot be bought by anyone or country like thelistman said.
When technology presents us a way to travel to the moon faster, these possibilities will become more likely. Right now, buying some part of the moon is completely futile if it takes weeks just to get there.

Exactly. Then, we would have to see a viable means of living on the moon to expect people to even consider buying parts of the moon.
Bad idea, who wants to carve pieces of rock just to hand out as party gifts. People should treat nature with more respect. Carve out too much and maybe it could affect the oceans' waves.

Giving away pieces of the moon for money is bad and lame. I'd like to go there myself and get a piece.

Pop trivia quiz! Which has a greater gravitational pull on the earth's oceans? The sun or the moon?
Pop trivia quiz! Which has a greater gravitational pull on the earth's oceans? The sun or the moon?
The moon of course. So the sun is gigantic, yet the moon is closer to us so it has more pull. If think you are trying to trap us by stating that the sun has more gravitational pull on the tides.
