For the chicken, i say egg, I think it was evolution. 2 different species....yeah....

And the tree question, yes, say you dropped a book with your ears plugged, noise is there. You just never heard it.

let's see...chicken first then egg

no because a vibration only becomes a sound when it hits a eardrum

i think the egg came first but it is confusing and yes a tree would still make a noise if no one heard it.

Hey just some advice for future title posting, please make it a little shorter because it just looks bad with such a long title. Maybe make the title say "Two Questions", and then explain your questions in your post.

I think the chicken came first because I'm just kind of guessing.

Also, I think that the tree would still make a noise, but no one would ever know because nobodys there to hear it.

I think the egg is first, and for the tree, i would say it's only considered noise if it is heard.

1: = chickes occured through mutation. the most likely form of mutation is genetic. this occures most often in young... aka the egg.

2: = energy cannot be ceated or destroyed therefor if the tree fell over without makeing a sound, it would either glow, catch on fire or become radioactive. aka yes

The chicken came first. Common sense. But, I say the egg! But, how will the egg hatch if there is no chicken sitting on it? But the egg can survive, I think, but again how will egg or chicken increase population, so I say the chicken, but my final answer is I don't know. :P

P.S. Chicken!

And the tree does make a noise, and it should, but no one can hear it, depends though.

Darn it, chevalia preempted my answer for the second question. Kudos to you m'dear.

As for the first, when did the chicken become a chicken? >
