This thread, will be a way to promote your merit-worthy comments, to us all...

Some of you might say: 'Shouldn't this be in the Flash Games section?'
well you are probably right, but this is a little less involved with games, and a little more involved in help.

Also, if you have any issues with writing merits, you can give it a shot, and ask for feedback. Experienced, but not quite right? Get your feedback here!

To all mods, this is not something that you have to look at, to see the comments, this was designed for people to say 'Hey, have a look at this comment. Do you like it?' and 'Could you tell me what I need to improve on?'

True, they're are many games out there for the moderators to search through their reviews, as Miguelin11 stated. So I feel that this is helping them out quite nicely, and should be a capital idea.

How many merits have you actually given? The near endless sea of spam is terrible. Each game has it's own sea of spam so I can imagine how difficult it would be for a team of moderators to find merit worthy comments in a sea of spam. A sea of spam for every game, when there are 3000 games!
I don't think there's more than 1500 games on AG... But indeed.
I think I've given out around 20, maybe nearing 30 merits. I don't check through games as much as I should, but meh. It's rather time consuming, and even more so to delete the spam...

And so many on liners like 'Gemcraft FTW', 'This game rocks', which kind of is like spam.
Not kind of, it IS spam.

It doesn't matter, comments/reviews should be written for people to view, even if they are flooded with spam, not for the sole sake of getting merits. One day, a mod will eventually find your review so don't despair!
This.
You shouldn't write good reviews for merits. You should do it because the game deserves good feedback. Merits are just rewards that are occasionally given as a little thank you from AG for that good comment.

With the ever growing sea of spam, the probability decreases. There should be an easier way to find reviews hidden in the flood of spam.
At least the forums are not as spammed up.
There should be an easier way for us to delete the spam. :<

Just to ask. Do the mods actually scour the comments pages to look for merit-worthy ones?
Yup. I mostly check the new games, but occasionally also a random game I've played. Random games are nice.

that's why you should only make a review on the NEW games so mods can find it quick and easy!
If you're only writing the comment in hope of a merit, you shouldn't even bother. But it is true that those are more likely to get checked - soon...

Not really. It is very strongly discouraged to advertise a review in hope of a merit...

Lol, double post... Joking! Do you check the more popular games more often?

Very sorry Zophia, much noted, I'll refrain from it now.

But I still believe this is quite a great thread to look at comments.

Yeah it is. But don't expect any merits. Maybe the title should be changed to, 'Comment Reiveiws (Merits not included)'.

Lol, double post... Joking!
Actually I triple posted, because every time I tried to reload the page (I got a blank page after I'd pressed submit), it informed that it would need to resend some information in order to reload... So I did. Twice.
Fortunately, I can delete that stuff as soon as it successfully loads.

Do you check the more popular games more often?
I can't answer for any of the other mods, but personally I check those less often. Have you seen the massive oceans of spam comments on Sonny and Sonny 2?

Yeah it is. But don't expect any merits. Maybe the title should be changed to, 'Comment Reiveiws (Merits not included)'.
Actually I'm still hoping to receive a merit for the one I posted. But probably not so likely, since I think there's a bigger chance of another mod looking here than on that game...
Also, posting an already merited comment here to show what one can be like should be fine. There's most likely still something that can be improved.

Funny, I didn't see such a comment before I came in here on my own. XD

You've ignored three comments from me already *sighs*

Oh, sorry about that xD

i dont really mind about not getting merits for certain thing i write. but i do get mad when another user copies exactly what i wrote and posts it as his own three minutes later. at least do it a day or two later so the original other doesn't realize or find out what u did.

This is my comment on Squeezed by John.

It is basically just an avoiding projectile frenzy, with the next projectile coming from who knows where, at a speed of one projectile per second. The object is to not get hit by a projectile for as many seconds as possible. I am not sure whether everyone noticed this, but the stars tend to grow in size the longer they follow you around. Once they lose your trail completely they begin to shrink back to their regular size again. The graphics were simple, but not to the point that they got boring, while the music was fast but not overpoweringly, such as in other fast-paced games. Controls were very smooth, with not a trace of lag. But, just the kind of game it is itself is the reason why it does not go very far it terms of its average rating, which is little more than 6.5, due to the fact that it is too simple. It may be different, and it may be the first attempt, but there really should have been something more. Some ideas, are, say, a way of destroying the stars, which eventually will be in an overwhelmingly excessive quantity and size, or bonuses after reaching a certain time,(e.g. Reach 30 seconds, obtain the power to slow the stars down by 2x for 10 seconds at any given time, etc.). There should also be less opportunities to hide in the corners.

Overall, it is a unique game (or as far as I know) for the way the projectiles appear, follow, and grow. Definitely a good first attempt. 6.5/10

That is a good review. Very useful indeed. Though, you should be more descriptive. Suggest more for this game.

here is my comment for warfare 1917

When I played Warfare 1917, it proved to me that there are amazing things that you can do with a flash game.
The graphics are great, ConArtists has succeeded once again in creating a very visually appealing game.
The sounds are outstanding. The gunshots, the bombs, all of the game's great sounds can even be compared to some of the great console games of this day and age.
The game is extremely easy to pick up and play. Once you've mastered the game's simple mechanics, you'll be spending hours determining its best strategies and approaches.
Overall, I think that for any newcomer seeking a great and solid war/action/strategy game, this is highly recommended.
