For those who have watched Milk... you know that quote. Seriously, I'm proud gay rights activist. And I really want to convince you that gays should have exactly the same rights. If you have a question, or you believe that homosexuals should have less rights, post here. I'll answer all your thoughts.
Their is currently a gay right movement in the UK so that gay heirs to the crown can become king/queen. Laws against Catholics and women (when a male heir is available) exist to prevent them becoming monarchs. I don;t believe their is a specific law against gays becoming monarch I just think it has never happened. Should gays be campaigning for this when their are more important issues facing homosexuals?
Gays should be campaigning about everything. Think about it. There are a lot of more important issues, but there are many (and enough) gays to fight for them. Every gay in this Earth can be involved. So every cause can be defended.
But my point is that it isn't a cause. I have heard of no specific law that bans homosexuals becoming monarchs (in fact I am pretty sure in th past their may have been some, though not openly of course). WHy pick a fight when their is no problem and, it is likely, will never be a problem. I can understand, though don't agree with, the feelings that women shouldn't be passed by for queen when their is a male heir the same with the ban on catholics. That isn't out of prejudism but out of tradition. aside from the fact the monarchy has little power is we get rid of some traditions it is unlikely to stop; we might as well get rid of the changing of the guard. (I should really take this more seriously and keep on topic)
I believe that they should have their rights, but other people have to...It would have been better if they were relocated to a city for themselves, unless its against their will. But it will offer protection and a freer society to them.

You've just given me a brilliant idea! Let's do this with the Jews, Japanese people, Hispanics, and Black people. That way they can just leave all us normal folk alone. Oh, wait, it's already been done? Sorry, guess not.
I get the feeling you mean to imply that homosexuality is a choice in some way. Is this assumption correct?
Shooting yourself through the head is also a choice, so yes, homosexuality is a choice, but not a good one. It isn't like I am considering it, though.
That's like saying you get nothing out of being straight, when obviously you do.
How is it similar? Also, let me change my wording. What do you get out of being homosexual?
...except love and happiness.
Oh...wait...how about if I put it this way. You can't get more out of being gay than being straight if both situations are exactly the same (both "marriages" are happy).
I don't see any reason to hate or be afraid of the opposite sex. It just isn't...plausible.

racist Seriously, though, "normal" depends on your point of view. Japanese people probably think they are normal and Europeans are weird (just an example).
