The "Rate the _____ Above You" threads weren't about lengthy conversations, so I see where you're getting the whole "spam" thing, they were simply about guys with similar music tastes having a place to see what the others thought of individual songs.
Mine was Rate The Movie Above you, so you know I was pretty mad when they got locked. Though I do say, now that I think about it, it makes sense that they got locked.
