I don't really get the purpose if this. I don't agree with the number of gods (I'm not even sure there are that many in hinduism) but the religion has some good teachings.
I dont think they have 13 billion gods but several forms the one supreme god can take I think in some sects its called the Trimurti. But I think for the most part their beliefs vary widely. But I donât really know all that much about Hinduism so I could totally be wrong.

No way, i've been a christian all my life. I wouldn't even think to be a Hindu. Besides Hinduism is a traditional religion, in other words not too many people convert to it, they just grow up with it.

your right........ Trimurti means three statues and they refer to the three supreme gods of hinduism.... The Bramha,The Vishnu, and The Mahesh.......they are also known as the genrator, the creator and the destroyer respectivly
in hinduism it is bellived that there are over 13 billion gods............what do you bellive
That's just plain offensive. At least pretend to be respectful of others' beliefs - they are no more ridiculous than any other religious doctrine. But anyway, 2 things: 1) Hinduism does not have 13 billion gods. There are many deities, but only one supreme deity that westerners would clearly identify as a "god". But technically, Hinduism has no "gods" since the term itself is loaded and really can only refer to this Judeo-Christian-Islamic god. To make a simple analogy, it's like any religious faith that canonizes individuals. Those that follow these doctrines pray to those canonized individuals (they are usually called "saints" in English) like one would to Yahweh. But they are certainly not equivocated in any way to Yahweh. The same is with Hinduism. These deities (for lack of a better English word) control certain aspects of nature and other things that affect the human condition.
2) Your real question here is "what do you believe?" Which I think has been asked a number of times on this forum. This thread (from what I've seen to this point) is just bashing this religious doctrine, which isn't cool.
