So basically homeland security sent out a memo to all branches of law enforcement in all states, and it basically said that the law enforcement needs to watch and be careful of "right wing radicals" and people who "oppose things such as immigration and abortion". And then it said that the conservative talk show hosts and responsible for causing "right wing radicals" to be...right wing. So, basically it was saying watch out for Republicans because they don't like Obummer.

It also said "no one must put the state government before federal government".

What I am trying to get at is: I think we are very close to being a flat out communist country.

What are your thoughts on this memo. (

Excuse my spelling, I am using Chrome and it does not have spell check).

Ricador... what they mean by communist country is that Obama plans to nationalize banks and business, meaning they are going to be run by the government. He already capped Wall street operative's income at 500,000 dollars.

That's not entirely correct. The rule is no one gets more than $500,000 in bonuses if you work for bank with public money invested in it. Quite a reasonable sum considering the situation many of these bankers have got the rest of the world into.

Also, I read an article related to this, so I'd like to pitch it to do two things: a) provide a more detached perspective b) show that Ricador isn't a nutcase who makes things up:

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20090417/ap_on_go_ca_st_pe/napolitano_right_wing_extremists

In this report one objection raised was the definition of "right-wing" (and also, separately, "left-wing&quot extremism. While I agree the issue is now being turned into a political football, reducing discussion to ineffectual posturing, I don't care about the political correctness of the definitions so much as the correctness, period. And in this case, as cited in the article above I think the definitions are wrong- they are more properly thought of as associations rather than definitions.

Oh man, here we go again. Don't do it Zoot, don't. It's not worth it anymore.

As for the OP, we're not going communistic, socialistic, or even totalitarian. The government just needs to stay in control during erratic times, much like this one. With our altered focus in the Middle East, our insane economy, and a new president from a new political party, the government just wants to be on the lookout for anything too extreme that can induce any sort of chaos or unraveling of the population.

Oh, and update your Chrome. Chrome has had spell check for a while now.
