Just went back and timed on commercial. 134 waves from clicking on start to victory screen 6:06. Remember the first 50 waves took just seconds. I just combined the lvl 5s saving yellow for last, transmuted rest of tray to yellow except for lvl 3 red added as many of the yellows as mana allowed put in trap, hit 3x and send all. I might have gotten farther than 50 doing just this. Is there any lag on your game? I get some when the trap is maxed and fs >800.
Do jump your mana pool early? I do one trap like I described earlier and get my mana pool to 30k. Lay down my second trap and keep adding combined lvl 8& 9 y /r/o. Once my dmg gets to 500 I can send groups of 1 or 2 bars. This can go way through 200. If I send 2 bars an my trap gets over whelmed I can always build a second trap and build it up very quick. That trap hits fs944 mana 8.x + red6. It takes4-5seconds to fill a 40k mana bar.
Also I hit 'return to map' as soon as the victory screen pops up. No use watching stats scroll that mean nothing. ~12sec from end to start. Maybe having one trap will reduce your lag?
Hope this helps.
You asked about quad giant pts -wave 70~17.7k so I guess wave 110ish~30k.
AAARGG! Wouldn't want to be looking over my shoulder today. My game just went flatline. I had 1000 monsters on the board half at 1m-1.7m hp and I was worried about BAC because I'm not slowing really except for the occasional random shock. So I built a measly 150k dmg and everyone went bubye. So I got stuck not being able to work! And guess whats coming up but a swarm. So super angered a swarm to 1000 armor w/grade 6 anger gems, 650k hp (I think about 450 of them) and a whopping 15k pts.
So I've stockpiled some decent anger gems (mostly 16s) for wave 70 a decent points wave but its a different screen than I'm used to and I have a haphazard storage method so I'm racing to get them in the tray and missed 70. At least I'll get to use them later but aaaahhhhh!
It's new territory but 3 major mistakes in one game makes me wonder if I should let my dog watch or not. Sigh movin on just wanted to voice my f_frustration.
Luckily there's 3+ out of 10. I'm coming up on 97 a quartet at 32k pts (higher than I hoped) but bad hue and only coming out of main den. So it's cross my fingers time. I'm greatful for the bigger jump in the pts curve, that bodes well the bigger waves. The biggest initial pts in GoE (with hp less than 1m) is 56k.
Good news is waves of 2-4m pts are a dime/12, using only 15/14 grade Anger gems and 5m hp or less. This spawns some ideas. I have a good shot a breaking 1t even with experiment time and mistakes and learning curve. The "s, I should have seen that one coming" curve ^â¢^
More good news. Slowing the field is a farce. ~14 strategically placed b/o/r + secret ingredient gives me fs670 (yes even w/3 slow gems) 96% slow@31secs +6red. It slows an entire field of 1200 to a stop! %-). So all I need to do after mega anger is move slow gems from undesired real estate to fb real estate so the big guys pile up where I want em.
When I got about 50 waves into this test wave I worried about it's potential, now I'm excited.
Yet another double, oh well they say it gets easier after the first one.
Wave 91 I'm at 22 X 17 anger. Likely have 36 by big wave = 4x19 + 10x18
also I went back to rehearse start and add some extra waves in the process. My 120 speed wave 17:15. I need to find a faster way. 6 waves/ hr too slow.
It far differs from the first chapter. It took me several days to finish, and I have to say that some modes made me nervous... but easy. If you improve your skills wisely, it can be done easily.
Level #71 is a very interesting level. It has a long path with no extra entrances and the holy grail of gem combos. R, O, P, Y. Lots of shrines, but no flash or anger shrine (boo!). Didn't remember this from my rush to the end, but now that I'm playing all levels, all modes, this looks like a fun level. Just whipped through the normal level in like 15 minutes (500m score) to familiarize myself with the layout etc.
This might be one to play by building no towers at all and just line the entire path with traps. RO at the beginning, ROP at the end and perhaps a few RY just for the heck of it.
I can only activate these with a blue or green gem. Is that what the other players find as well? Means that you have to save up a blue or green starter gem to activate the special damage shrine in lvl #71.
