surfthenet, I go for grade 10-11 duals at most, and I do like Lankhr said, I create a full set of grade 6 gems, then shift them so 2 selected colors are in their rows and the other colors are in the remaining rows, then gem bomb "wrong" gems with "right" ones, then combine them into grade 9-10s with shift+combine, shift+click several times. Once it gives me a grade 11 gem I place it to the map. Once at this map (that's #12 right?) I have earned 50 grade 11 gems in towers, all L/Y, and then I turned them into 50 grade 12 gems, then let the game run as I was already in the 70s, making a mere 5m exp endurance (x3) which is alone enough to max out all skills. So, in terms of your question, I'd better go for dual.
THX master Lankhr and master vesperbot.
I'll try your way yay!
I got 1,15M XP in that ID.
I'll try 3M XP this time. Which ID level you suggest?
forget my abbreviations, it's a total fail hahaha.
wait a minute, i re-check my XP, I got 1,2M before i go to sleep, now I wake up and see, it has 1,2 X 3 = 3,6M XP!
It's a major breakthrough for me, lol i don't even realized it.
btw, for those who's new in GC, 1k score = 1 XP, so 1Billion score = 1M XP.
I will 'Hibernate', from July 1st until August 23rd. I will going to a small remote village in LiuJou to teach English there. I'm in Nanning, China now.
Chinese accent of speaking English is terrible, they sounds like Engriech not Englishh(just wordplay).
I just noticed that everyone who beat the game say they were about level 150, but I beat it at level 71. I dont know why there is such a big difference between me and everyone else. Maybe I'm just weird.

It could be because some people go back before they finish the game fully and replay the endurance levels and get a massive score and thus increases your XP level.
I am at level 232 and I only have 10 Beyond Corruption levels to complete before I have completed every single thing in the game.
After I finish those levels I intend to go back and replay every endurance level so I can get a maximum score.
Wow Lankhr, If you play GoE level, I mean if you play that level, you will be level 700, GoE is way too easy for you.
I will come back on August 23. I don't know if they have internet access or not(but if I showed up here, it means I'm online), I will teach English there, If you here Chinese people talk English you will feel like in alien world or 'Is this English?' something like that.
Lankhr and vesperbot, what is the best 3 of dual gems in towers?
1. R/Y 2. R/C 3. R/L
what is the best 3 of dual gems in traps?
1. R/O 2. R/Y 3. R/C
At some point, I believe 3 colors gem is worth to try, R/Y/O(they don't do much damage, but Y have range 61 and insane speed and it looks like the range of 5 traps become 1 in the corner path) so it will gives more mana and damage. I always put some of this on intersections.
just one question, is 1 R/Y/O = 5 R/O?
I hope there is triple gem mastery in the next Gemcraft (it will make the game way too easy yay!)
R/Y/L. It will make insane hits, because Lime has chain hit, combine with insane speed and triple damage of Y and 6 monsters at once of R. So you can expect about 6*3(this is L probability)*5(around 5 traps range and insane speed) = 90 monster, it will be around 40 monsters got hit in average.
Lankhr, first about combining - no, it doesn't work with same color, it only checks the grade, so if you miss a single "wrong" grade 6 gem somewhere and run lots of shift-combines, you will end up with 3-color gem of grade 10-11, which is mostly a spoiled gem, though it still can be "supergemmed" to a nice extent. But why supergemming if you can get a dual of one grade less, which does almost twice the damage?
Speaking about tri-color gems - well, R/Y/something are the best candidates for something of the value, and R/C/P as an "acidic trap", which can devour monsters alone without any help. I expect this "acidic trap" gem work better than that set of traps I mentioned before (R/Y-R/C-R/P-R/Y-repeat), supplanting two gems that are mainly for special effects with one, thus more monsters can be held with traps if all the line is filled, and there is more space for traps that do the most damage (R/Y).
However, the R/Y/* gems are inferior to dual R/Y gems in terms of damage, though say R/Y/O gem will indeed provide more mana/second than R/O, but it will have to be a lot higher grade for that, I expect grade 13, while a grade 6 R/O can be supergemmed to the top speed which alone is critical to mana gain.
surfthenet, R/Y for traps are indeed the best damage dealers over there, given the fact that they can do triple damage while being in the trap. (I have tested that!) While in towers - R/L are abit better with a scarce mob on screen, while R/Y outdamage them when there are more than 5 monsters which are hit with a single splash.
Speaking about best duals for towers - I'd say R/Y, R/L and L/B with the first two sharing 1st place Why L/B - because R/B in the tower only slows a single monster, leaving the red special redundant, while L/B can slow up to 4 monsters per hit. For traps the best are R/O, R/Y and R/P as the only means of sure reducing of armor. R/C are IMHO inferior to R/P in case of mega-angered monsters, at the very least, they can hold but they can't harm, and what's the sense of an eternal stasis without means to defeat? Otherwise, R/C have a use, but R/P are used by me more often.
See, it's quite possible that you will find some Internet access out there in your province. We will wait for you.
dagothur1300, I have seen people who said they were level 60 at the point of 5th arcane, which has a prerequisite of being wizard level 60 in order to try beating it. They weren't playing this game for mega scores, so they might not even level up during 5th arcane, therefore GoE level is beatable at level 60.
About triple damage in traps - no, I meant that the monster with armor greater than the maximum damage of a Y gem in trap was harmed by it, and the chances of a monster getting harmed were pretty close to what was written on the gem while it wasn't in the trap. See, when a monster is harmed, there is a health bar above it, and when it's at full HP, there's no bar. I have watched several monsters get health bars after passing over a single Y trap gem.
About L/B - see, when the towers are constantly targeting the closest monsters to the wiztower, and with a big mob of them, a single L/B tower slows about 50% of monsters passing its range, which is a significant amount, also this one helps to make monsters stay in the killing zone longer, especially if you'd position the L/B carefully. This leads to one more degree of angering be sustainable.
Cleared it. Playing the beyond corruption levels. Why does the level turn yellow instead of blue when you complete it? Is there a way to make it turn blue? Anybody?
doogiem50, no, there's no way as far as I know. It will just get longer and longer after each battle won, 2 more waves each time, until you'll permanently fail to do anything more with it. And congratulations))
