in poisonous path, poison ignores armor, so poison = damage, right?
in mana farming, the guide suggest put R/B every 5 or 6 tiles, so it will be more mana we get.
So the ultimate traps should be R/B-R/G-R/O-R/O-R/O?
If you anger too much you'll die quickly or slowly, I can say if the monster run more than 4 or 5 laps, we actually already lost. We should anger enough or about 2-3 laps the most.... Hmmmm we need more researh here.
Go for pure gems to place into traps. Pure gems have the highest special values. Dual gems have superior damage, but their speicals are somewhat weaker. Is it a right guide? or.... Monsters are resistant to shots of the same color, but vulnerable to those of the opposite/complementary color. is it hue? or something else?
Lol, i just realized there is no guide for endurance mode? or it's not coincidence?
Blue Cyan in trap would be nice and pure yellow too (pure Orange too) pure orange looks nice
grade 3 Orange = 3.5 in traps grade 3 R/O = 3 x 2.1 in traps
so, combine R when many monster come, but pure Gem always better when the monster on field below 80 for medium length map.
But when many monsters come, R/B-R/C and also R/B-R/Y.
Yes GoE is the easiest endurance game, it also has a glitch. Super anger all waves (make their ARMOR like 200k and more) and call about 2000 monster on field (1000 more on cage) and then put the 7 grade into it. Most monster on the field will die (even the super 200K ARMOR) and the GoE will be valued -1. If you replay this, you can get insane score and finished all the wave (probably 228 waves, i don't remember)
As far as I use it: supergemming is the way to incras dmg output at higher grades (grade 10+). With adding a grade 6 gem to a higher grade you get about 60-70 max dmg. This way you can get a high dmg for less cost then you would get with high grades!
yes, it's true. I mean in traps. Is supergemming good or not?
sorry for saying that you are crazy, I'm just joking
to wistress, why not play endurance mode? If you gain high score, you will got all abilities and so much fun. If you want to open all levels just play heroic level first, it will revealed hidden level .
A good tip for the last lvl, creat dual gems (with dual gem mastery of course) and also make a mana farm. That way it's easy possible to creat 7 grade 7 gems before wave 30...
Thanks again Lankhr, I will try that and let you know how it works out.
Lankhr, the "R/B-R/G-R/O-R/O-R/O" are just 5 traps with slashes being the divisors of specials. I suggest the ultimate set of traps, if you don't care about reduced mana income, is R/Y-R/C-R/P-R/Y-repeat, the best possible holding set which eats up anything caught, no matter the 200k armor etc etc, but it has a downside that this set won't attack anything else but what's eaten already. So a pure line of R/Ys with a set of R/Ps before might do way better.
And congratulations on your graduation!)))
surfthenet, I have found that if I overdo R/B trap the monsters fail to reach R/O at some degree, so I prefer now to run O or R/O only, until I get so much mana I can't reasonably spend into gems or mana pool, at that time I stop building R/O and start building R/Y or L/Y for towers, and R/P and R/Y for traps. I can experiment occasionally with say L/B as one fine experiment, a gem that slows more than one monster while being in tower.
Dying slowly isn't dying in fact, especially with all the mana you get from constantly working R/O traps, I once angered a giant wave to 200 monsters with 1M hit points and thought that I overdid it, so I started building defences and they wiped all those monsters away without me running out of mana.
In some of the earlier postings people are talking about replaying earlier levels to gain experience.
I have found that I only get more experience IF i beat my previous score, or get an award I haven't already got... So replaying endurance levels over and over doesn't really seem to help...
Either that I am not quite right in my understanding of the EXP system.
Altera, yes, this behavior is by design. Replaying endurances doesn't help unless you will receive a major breakthrough on one of them, say jumping to 100k from 7k exp.
surfthenet, I go for grade 10-11 duals at most, and I do like Lankhr said, I create a full set of grade 6 gems, then shift them so 2 selected colors are in their rows and the other colors are in the remaining rows, then gem bomb "wrong" gems with "right" ones, then combine them into grade 9-10s with shift+combine, shift+click several times. Once it gives me a grade 11 gem I place it to the map. Once at this map (that's #12 right?) I have earned 50 grade 11 gems in towers, all L/Y, and then I turned them into 50 grade 12 gems, then let the game run as I was already in the 70s, making a mere 5m exp endurance (x3) which is alone enough to max out all skills. So, in terms of your question, I'd better go for dual.
I've always loved tower defense games and the gemcraft series definately doesn't dissapoint when compared with some of the other tower defense games that I have played.
Although I haven't played it very much (beat like the first 3 levels) but i still did love it. I also played the first gemcraft game quite a bit.
