I think yayformeee didn't get high score because he didn't have grade 9 R/O quickly, you don't have to full all the traps, the trap price getting higher, in GoE level better if you make high grade R/O every 3 tiles, and put other R/? later.
I think GoE is the easiest endurance, too bad it's not 3X.
One question, +5 monster hit?
Is this means if there is 8 monster pass at the same time, it will be 6 monster got hit or only 5?
I think R/B--R/C--R/Y is a good combo?
10 monster come in, 5 of them get slow, 5 of them stuck in the R/C and R/Y have high range so it can hit first 5 monster in R/B and later hit other 5 monster in R/C. If you repeat this trap, it could be ultimate combo traps.
I dont understand how (red) splash differs from (lime) chain. It seems both gems explain doing the exact same thing, which is hit more than 1 monster at once? (chain hit and splash damage) If i put lime in a trap i can see the monster run over the trap and the one behind him takes damage. With red i dont see anything happening, and if i combine it with another color it doesnt even show up as being in the trap when you put your mouse over it. If i mix R/O only orange shows up and the damage increases slightly. Is that a bug, and what does red do that lime doesnt?
Cyc2u, well, the lime trap is more random than red, the red trap has a fixed and big enough maximum of monsters to hit per shot, while lime has a chance for a shot to hop to the next monster. I don't remember what's the percentage for lime dual gem if it's in trap, but I expect it's better to uniformly hit 6 monsters (that's why these trap work best in dense crowd) than to play random each time the trap fires, ending up sometimes with only one monster get hit.
About red component not being displayed while in trap - well, that's sort of a bug, though it still exists. The red trap gem has the number of targets equal to 1 plus its splash radius, divided by 15.0 and rounded down, so while your gem doesn't have 15.0 splash, it won't show the red component as well as number of targets. But the mastery's bonus to target limit adds up and works regardless of the radius, so the actual target limit of your R/O gem is greater than 1, though while the calculated pre-mastery targets limit is 1, the red component is not being displayed.
Oh sorry to double-post but when I play on gemcraft chapter 0 I can always see the amount of monsters it can hit so I don't know why I can and you can't
actually, for traps, for lime, it hits one monster multiple times in one hit. this value is fixed and is not a percent chance. So lime-orange can be pretty good too. or L/P. And a triple R/Y/L could be devastating at high levels
I'm curious about something. In any mode, to get the maximum XP from a wave you got to call early the wave + the wave before. Does that work also for endurance mode ? (I mean, do you get the same XP by letting the waves go on or do you get more by calling them early in endurance mode ?)
no. it does'nt. a lot of bonuses are taken away for endurance. The calling waves early. the Exp shrine only gives multiplyer boost instead of some exp from every monster
