That probelm has happened to me before, munch-albeit in a much smaller version; it wouldnt' accept inputs for several minutes. using taskmanager, select "bring to front"-if you can get that to work.
Then, only attempt one more input: click on the upper-right corner to pause. however, you may repeat; it often gets thrown away.
If it ever accepts your input...it will pause. if it never accepts that input...your game is lost .
If you want to close it out so you can start again asap, right click "iexplore" and end process.
I tried all of these ideas and others. The last killed the game. Sigh... On to try number 8. I'm not sure what direction I'm going yet. I've built my mana farm and paused while I decide. (wave 30). At least I don't have to deal w/ that infernal prismatic glitch anymore.
I'm leaning towards doing nothing but dmg construction for the next 40 waves and then start going for points. IMO the best scoring can be done from 70 to 123 if you have the arsenal to go for it and if I've got my multiplier over 150.
Then maybe I'll token anger all the way and try a speed game with arsenal only priority for 200 waves.
Any suggestions?
OK questions. I'm using the link that karsten sent me. What exactly is the differences so I know how not to kill this game? I noticed it took longer to load and I had to paste one of my data files to get skills. It seems like some prcesses are faster while some are slower. Anyway to save on this one mid-lvl? Maybe a local cache file that can be copied and pasted in the future? Any advantages to using this one?
Observation: There are at least 6 people I know of out there w/ the skills and knowledge to finish. I've gotten to the defeat screen 2 times in 7 tries or about 29%. If there were 7 people playing big games at the same time the odds of somebody finishing one of those games would be 90%. (rally cry)
i tried one in secrecy. got to wave 200 then i passed out(H1N1's a B***H) with like 2mil firepower and a bunch of r/c r/b c/b traps, but i died somehow. will retry
well, I got the urgent homework done, I should be able to attempt the minimal-farm mode... Hopefully using much less stuff will keep my laptop's OS from becomming unstable.
Common you guys no more games on the sly :-) Theres no closet gemmers here. Hohohaha. I have to play a night so my friends and family don't get suspicious.
oh, hippyman... when I said R/C, R/B, R/C, I didn't mean have them jumbled up in the track at the same time; I meant have prismatics and R/C untill the R/C become saturated, then switch all the R/C to R/B (unless you think you've located high-density runner concentrations, you can leave those in), and keep it that way untill the monster count drops below 300, before switching back to prismatic and R/C. You can have 1 or 2 super-slowers at the start of the track during the R/C phases, but have at least one trap space between them and any shocking gems. (If you happen to know how powerfull to make these to slow the creeps for an entire lap, then go ahead and keep the R/C traps up for an extended period of time)
I decided to terminate my 15 minute-long attempt at minimal traps-the mosnter count was causing noticeably more lag than anticipated. (It came from angering almost like I normally would on waves 13-20).
On a side note, my map one only game reached level 17. still have lots of grinding to do.
munch if u can score 10t i know ull have enough firepower to beat 228, i know that 3m+ could beat it and u put up over 8m at wave 170 while still making huge anger gems
hm... hard to give you an exact when I'm constanly re-assessing my focus... But for the first 1-5 waves, I anger each wave with 7-10 grade 1 gem bombs, and supergem either one, two, or three R/O gems with grade 1 orange (note: even when doing only one, I still move it between trap and inventory); however, even when supergemming just one of the gems, I have a second R/O giving me extra mana. On waves 5-10, I start making more R/O traps-either supergemmed or more in bulk, either way works for me-and begin angering with grade 2's. waves 10-15, I start finalizing the mana farm, and I can anger with 5-15 grades 4-8 (each wave) at this point. By wave 20, I begin to supergem a little, in order to punch throught the armor. By wave 25, I can easily anger with grades 6-11, and begin supergemming in earnest. by wave 30, I'm adding damage as fast as I can, generally aiming for +10k max/wave. (I suspect that the way I start causes the interrupt cat to misbehave later on...but then, I've never gotten it to behave for very long, so you'll have to find out for yourself) as for mana pool...alas, I can't tell you excatly when I start casting it; I cast it whenever I feel I should, generally when I feel I've got extra mana income, but not enough extra to increase the grade of gems I'm working with.
If you want to practice, try detonating the GOE as early as possible; I've managed to do it before wave 10 was called. You don't have to go all the way to pre-wave 10, it was quite some time between my pre-wave-15 and my pre-wave 10 detonations.
