You know how on the side panel near your armatar it will say how many posts you've made. Wouldn't it be cool and convenient if it said how many topics you've made? Just thought that would be a nice little addition.
I didn't say that posts didn't mean squat, I just meant that adding threads contribute to being active. It means you're asking a question, adding something else so that the rest of the community can get involved in it, you pointed something out that everyone should know. Yes, sometimes it gets out of hand where they add a thread when they shouldn't, but again, it just adds to the continued activity in the forums.
Now then. What did I post back in page one... ah, yes... Maybe the list of threads that you created, dead, locked, moved, stickied, whatever? We should definitely add that. What's one more counter going to do? Probably going to be a little...more than the rest, but having the list of threads would give you direct access to the thread without searching for it.
"I made this thread...but it's not here, it's in here somewhere.....what page is it in?? **New Idea Added* Ah, here it is, since I made it and all. All I had to do was click on the list, and click once more on the thread.
For those that are wondering, yes, CTRL + F + keyword helps.... XD
But then the profile would be more cramped up....More work for mods. I think post activity would be just fine. Like Person A has 1000 posts rather than Person A has made 30 threads. Posts numbers seem like a bigger achievement.
It could be useful, but a lot of people make useless threads that are either locked or deleted. Or maybe they have potential for being locked or deleted. You can't count those, obviously. Still, it would show how many new discussions someone has started, which could stand for either someone who needs a lot of help or someone who is a great conversationalist.
It would be c00l if the "Topics" that you did would be in your about in auto.So that people could get to them by the person!!!Just something I would like.
