He is referring to the killing of all the Jewish people in Germany and across Europe. Basically what I am saying, is that heaven is an idea and anyone can choose to believe in what they want to believe.

The truth is they won't I know I already said this though but animals don't have souls and they can't pick if thay want to be christians or not so they can't accept Jesus therefor they can't go to heaven or hell.
If animals dont have souls, then humans dont have souls either....
Humans are part of the animal kingdom, plus through our actions we do it can be argued we are animals ourselves. So really people can believe what they want to believe.
I know many churches that give services to animals that die, because they believe that the animals have ascended into a better place.
People were made in God's image so we can be with him when we die are bodies reamin but our souls go to heaven or hell. I don't know what animals are for maybe for meat.
