There have been a few who showed some interest in seeing more of my art. I figured I'd start out with some photography and share a few pieces with everyone. The hardest part for me is to decide what to toss up here. I literally have hundreds, some from my starting days and some more recent.
When it comes to all of my art, be it drawn or photography, people are my favorite subject and I have this thing for taking photos of my violin. I also enjoy taking macro photos, and do some nature shots as well. I mainly do the nature shots for prints, since their generalness makes them good sellers.
That said, please enjoy. Feel free to ask any questions that come to mind as well. And of course, mods, if any image is deemed inappropriate for the forums here, let me know. I don't do nudes, but there are some shirtless male models. (No man-boobs, I promise!) If this goes over well I might put up some drawings too. ^_^
yeah when I saw it I was wondering why there were so many copies of that photo. Although are all those photos of yourself?
Yeah, it was a self portrait. The next two were really supposed to be different photos! I'm still not used to not being able to preview posts! Wonder if that could be implemented.
You could call it a vertical tryptich and claim artistic liberty :P
OOhh I know! Spot the differences! Yeeeahhhh..
Nothing wrong with shirtless males, though I don't know about whether people really want to see moobs P:P
I make it a point to use moobless models!
More serious note: As I posted on your profile, I'm still interested in your drawings as well.
^_^ I'll get some up. I'll have to go digging around the computer, I have sooooo many! I really should attempt to re-scan some of my pencil drawings too, since I have a better scanner now.
Huzzah! To be honest, the first one has my brain going "Um...ok! Picture good, yes." Maybe I just try to hard to look for meaning in everything. Still purrty.
The second one reminds me a lot of the scenes one could find if the wandered Scotland or New Zealand. Even though I am sure it is not, it just does. >_<
Oh, and I am sooo jealous of the emsemble in the third one.Not that I would look good in it, ever wear it or pose in front of greenery to make it look smashing..but hey, uncalled for jealousy is the best. Even the the sneakers break it all up a little for me. Are those Nike? Oh Nike why...
Oh don't try so hard to find meaning in my art. Usually there is none intended! I just put things together that I think look good, rather than try to tell much of a story.
On the second one, the photo was taken in Norway. (I have many photos from both Norway since I used to live there.) Funny you mention Scotland, I have photos from when I was there as well. Never been to New Zealand, though some of my in laws live there and are bugging for a visit.
As for the fourth one down, that's ma hubby. Nothing like grabbing your spouse and forcing them to take photos when you feel artistic! So I dressed him up. The shoes are some old pair he brought over from Australia. I'd have to dig them out to see what brand they are!
Ah. So I was going "Meaning! There must be meaning!" Of course, this is coming from the man who trys to pick apart his dream about a giant Simpson-esque doughnut turning into a snake and slithering around my town. See, I can not appreciate things just for being pretty.
Haha, I know what you mean. Minus the hubby part thing. >_< Oh, And I just looked at shoes and for some reason I just saw the Nike swoosh thing. All consuming swoosh.
Well, at least my hyper spot is done with. Although trying to comment on several things all in one post makes me seem scatter brained and disconnected. Oh well.
Edit: Oh gawd, my desire to cling onto good photography and get more of it made me totally forget the questions I was going to ask. So you do not think you are just merely something to amuse me, like one of the organ grinder monkeys. Dance, my pretty, dance... --------- So how long have you been doing the photo stuff? It is apparent you have a fairly competent camera and all that jazz.
Huh. I thought I had more. Guess not. Oh well! I got one question out.
So how long have you been doing the photo stuff? It is apparent you have a fairly competent camera and all that jazz.
Well, I've been taking photos since I was in high school, but never got too serious about it until about 5-6 years ago.
I shall end with a familiar plea: S'more please?
Okay okay! Gimme a minute then. I'll have to crop some down and upload them. I also have to get some drawings up for Strop too! AAhh I'm getting behind!
Haha, no pressure. Personally, I just get all giddy when someone new who has really good art skills pops up. There are a lot of art inclined people on AG, but it is hard to find art that fits into my taste. So when it does, as said, I just become a kid in a candy shoppe.
I more or less totally have fallen in love with the third pic. I like the darker ones since, with my colour blindness, I feel like I am missing out on normal images. It seems like it is not really a black and white, but more like..a blueish filter or something was used. I dunno, I am color blind.
Regardless! If the necklace was metal, and I saw it in a gallery....I'd buy it.
