I've found 8 Lost Amulets, and I'll tell people that my strategy is to destroy all of the buildings on each level that I play because there is a 300 exp battle amulet for destroying all of the buildings anyway, so this way I hopefully won't have to go searching through the game at the end for them, and I get a nice little score boost too.
You'll notice that I just made this account to talk about GC0, and I've been experiencing a nasty little bug, so if you'd like, stop by the thread that I will post shortly and let me know if its been happening to you too.
Have you guys come across any of the Lost Amulets hidden in the tress/bushes as well? I always mash those with gems...just in case. So far I haven't found any there, just in the round and square buildings. So, if there arn't any...its a wast of my time.
If you mean the trees/bushes that are part of the terrain that don't explode when you bomb them, then no. I don't bomb them though. I will be sort of upset if I've missed dome in the trees. The notes from Game in a Bottle say that the Hidden Amulets are in the buildings and piles of rocks.
I didn't read the note on Lost Amulets, so GC Zero-your probably right that it's just rock piles and buildings. I just knew that the trees kinda "shook" (but don't go away) when you bomb them. I thought it would be possible to hide something there. But, I doubt there is.
I have an altered version of the GemCraft Chapter 0 map with 32 of the levels containing Lost Amulets and labels of which modes they're in on my computer.
Yes, that took quite a load of time to make.
I don't know if I'll post it. I'm sorta against giving such spoilers away, on the other hand it feels silly to have done all that just for my own pleasure.
But 32 Lost Amulets. Looking for some of the first 4 I found but didn't list in a separate save file, will look for the last four when I unlock the hidden levels they must be in.
Oh, and there's never any hidden in Carapace or Arcane modes.
It's not very difficult to find them if you play every level like you normally do and destroy the useless huts that only take level 1 gems you will easily find them all
Very unfinished and not tidied up at all (and also tiny), but basically: Anything that has a cross over it is very unlikely to have a lost amulet. Four of them do have one, though, because I forgot to note down where I found it. As for the rest, well, they're labeled with what modes the amulets are hidden in, so if you are able to read it on this tiny WiP, then congrats.
I will try to, once I'm done mapping out all 40 lost ones. The reason it is so small, is because Photobucket reduced it to a certain file size, and since the pic is actually almost 4000 pixels tall... It shrank. I'll reduce the quality a bit on the final version so the file isn't so large.
But that's 32 lost amulets served right there. If you wanna be lazy. XD
