erm am i being stupid or does each level have a numerical level id? so wouldnt it be easier, rather than photoshopping these lovely maps together to just write each level id and perhaps the mode in which the gem exists? i.e. level 8 sudden death (just an example guys, dont get all excited).

No, you're not being stupid, but the map was compiled before the developer implemented the numbering scheme for the levels. Sometimes history should be considered as well as prudence. Additionally, it is actually quite simple to look at the visual map and figure out where the amulets are, whereas it may be slightly harder to have to click all over to find the level id.
I got 800k xp off 1 battle... It took me sooooo long, up to lv 100, and I gave up cause my Pc is like stuck, 400 monsters on screen and full screen of traps and towers
Never thought I could do that!! My xp went from 650k to 1600k total
