No not really I don't post comments etc. for points they are just an interesting side-effect of it. If they turned round one day and said no points for forum posts I wouldn't post here any less.
nope not really, then the ranks would mean nothing. IMO opinion you shouldn't even get points for comments or ratings, it should be just forum posts, and some kind of achievement game tracking system.
such as defeating a boss in a game, nets you points of somekind,like in kongragate or something.
Oh and i forgot to add one thing xP They should give extra/bonus points for when people beated a game and the best post or .. the BEST GAME EVER ON AG ... Well of course they would have to have a vote on which game is the besg game on AG.
yeah brooke-1997 is right if you AG were to put is achevements worth 5-30 arnour points it would be great. Like bubble tanks 10 points for winnng and 30 points for beating gemcraft or warlords heros being 15 points.

Exactly besides it's not about stupid points and stuff it's so you can have fun. And armorgames used not to even have points,rankings,ratings-all of that. They had comments and ratings for games, but 9 out of 10 would just play the game... unless you make points and stuff. So know everyone rates and comments-for points. Why? don't ask me, ask yourself. And also everyone is wanting more points now for that even. My proof for people wanting more points is right on this suggestion.
And those of you who brought up achivments that doesn't make to much sence really. To satisfy you on that i'll say this: We have points. We have Rankings. We have Ratings of what place you are in. And we have lots of fun games to go play. Are you happy now?
Don't the people of Armor Games think that you guys should get more Armor points for comments, ratings, and forum posts?
are you suggesting we get more AP for just about everything? I don't think so: See, we get so little AP because compared to a merit, it is little worth. This encourages people to write merits if they really want AP.
Have you thought about the spam that people would leave. Not that there isn't enough already.
i don't know... It would mean that people would have to spam less to the get the same amount of AP now. The problem is that everyone would have more AP, and the problem would simply repeat.
I think it's fine how it is. The only problem is when people go through and rate and then comment on games they don't even play. That though doesn't involve AP as much as misuse of the rating and comment system.
Adding to what everyone else said, higher points + Crazy Users = Crazy amount of APD and then Being awesomely high won't be such a accomplishment. The only good thing about more points for every item is we may have more active people to get up higher.
