As i was going through the AG games as i do...

I noticed a link...

The link lead to a 'russian dating webcam site'.

didnt think this was very apropriate.

Especially kids at my age. (Im 12)

So id like to ask if you could prehaps take away the link?

If anyone could actually post a picture of said add, this might have more heft ot the argument.

Yet, even then...a 'russian dating webcam site' in my books does not instantly mean 'r0n not 4 teh kiddeez'. There used to be video dating services looong ago. It was just a way to get to meet new people.

It is only as bad as someone can make it. Take Xbox Live for example. The game you go online with may be rated "E", but that does not mean everyone online playing is going to adhere to that "E" rating. Get what I mean?

Armor Games would not have ads like that. You might want to do a virus scan on your computer. I have had people come to me with ad complaints before, and it ended up being viruses that replace the ads on the page with their own.

You should really check that out. Because it really does not sound like something that AG would post.

Hey, I guess I do not have to defend AG's honor any more when I doubted it was happening! Wheee!

I did not know they could do that with viruses these days. Huh, crazy world.

To tell you the truth I have found that half of viruses are for profit or are jokes. I heard there was a virus that makes it to where all of your icons will move away from you when you try to scroll over them making them impossible to click on, and another I had a while back spammed my whole screen with ads. There is much crazier stuff that viruses can do to you then that.

I saw that before, but not on my compute. pretty funny actually!

Like Trojans. And Rootkits. They are not a joke. they are the worst thing that can happen to you on a PC.

jaza, you should run a virus scan on your computer.

yes, just for extra measure.

Yes I know, that would be me ;-) And I told him the same thing I said to you. You should do a complete computer scan (not the quick one), just run it fully through just to see. Because advertising viruses are really easy to get, and even if your virus software is on and your computer is relatively new, you can still get them. It doesn't always find it until you run the full scan.

no does not mean a computer is safe. Do virus scans at least every week if you're suspicious about the things you see. You might hit lucky.

A virus scan is basically your anti virus program showing just how good it really is. At other times, it simply sits and watches the passport booth, with half closed eyes. A scan is when it just drank Red Bull and has laser vision to see if everyone is really everyone.

That seems very strange. Maybe the virus is hiding to strike again next time. Maybe, maybe not. And maybe we were just all over reactive and it isn't a virus, rootkit, Trojan and the rest at all.

actually, it may be a Trojan, and has noticed that you are worried if it is there. Wait and see if it comes back.
