suppose there were an opportunity for you to monetarily sponsor an independent game developer based on a game concept and such, and have it treated as an investment, such that you get back a part of the final revenue if the game does well. for instance, a developer shows you a concept, and says he needs $2,000 to complete it. he shows concept artwork, game design, and examples of previous work to show that he can build what he claims. you give him $20 (%1) he develops the game as described, and it gets sponsored for $5,000 by a large gaming portal. then you get back something like $40, in accordance with the 1% you put in minus what goes to the developer, fees, whatev. is this something that would interest you?

i'm curious.

If you meant to direct this question at ArmorGames as a site, I suggest you email them directly after taking a look at this page.

If you were just wondering if the casual AG'er would be interested in sponsoring others, well... Then this thread is made correctly.
And I don't know if I would.

haha, its just meant as an open question to gamers. would you like to take some of the power into your own hands as far as deciding what games get built, and get a stake in their future at the same time? i would.

Well, to really have a 'say' in terms of what the company does with the money, it would have to be a more significant investment then 1%.

I'd totally do it. I already have investments in a few gaming companies, though none are considered small.
