This remark gave me suspicions:

Just like the media will report how many troops die. about 5000 or so?

and this one confirmed them:
I actually hope we have a terrorist attack soon. We need to wake up! 9/11 showed us that!

every life lost on either side is a bad thing, andmany people don't seem to realize that.

I actually hope we have a terrorist attack soon. We need to wake up! 9/11 showed us that!

It will wake the country and show that our actions in Iraq were unjustified, and that our presence in Afghanistan has been extended too long.

By the way, if a family member of yours died in that attack, would you feel the same way?

I would feel the same way as I do now-that any life lost on either side is wrong and painful.

How would you like to be killed in that terrorist attack? Or how about someone you love? If you seriously hope for another terrorist attack, well then you have serious problems my friend.

No offense, but how would a terrorist attack wake up the country if nobody died (unless you want people hospitalized, which is almost as bad)?

as I say "Wake up" I mean we need to be more alert. Just aa before 9/11, most people wouldnt expect anything of the sort. Im sure most people here dont think another attack is possible.

WELL, deaths are not a good way of doing so. We don't need to let people be killed so we can be 'alert.'
