iraq/afgan war was to keep the pressure on terrorist and try to capture them while helping a nation rebuild its govt
"oh boo hoo we should get out" think of this in 2 ways, Do the soldiers want to be there? (rhetorical) and would you rather fight them over on their turf or on ours? (USA)
While I was in support of the war, I will add that it took place in another country, so we couldn't really see it happening. It'd be easier for America to see that they hate us was his point.
We don't need to let people be killed so we can be 'alert.'
Whenever anybody I know dies, I always notice. It's evil, but it works. (jk)

Personally, I don't think we need to 'wake up'. All this would do is give the government an excuse to make a bunch of new laws restricting our freedoms - all in the name of democracy, of course.
as I say "Wake up" I mean we need to be more alert. Just aa before 9/11, most people wouldnt expect anything of the sort. Im sure most people here dont think another attack is possible.
Did you hear about the plane that was flying low for a photo-shoot next to the Statue of Liberty? People were evacuated from buildings and many people assumed the worst. If no one thought another attack was possibility there would not have been this reaction.
If there is another terrorist attack it would allow Obama to take over and become dictator because when people are scared they do what you want. :P
Bush didn't become a dictator. Even though people will do what you say easier, that doesn't mean they're stupid.
I dont really expect an airplane attack anymore. Were too used to that. I expect bags planted round huge cities and going off at the same time. a study was shown. A bag was placed in the middle of New york. No one looked, no one called the police, one stole it. This was tested in the middle east. They know to call the police asap.
I actually hope we have a terrorist attack soon. We need to wake up! 9/11 showed us that!
Well, i think we need a wake up call as well, America is to spoiled. But killing innocents do do so? Asshole. I would much rather a terrorist attack that succeeds, but misses people closely. So no one die,s but they step back and say "Holy sh.it".
