Why are there so many more ads than usual on this site? I've gotten used to the ones from Cursor Mania and the IM smiley ones, but now there are ones that pop up when I try to go to a game and stuff, and it says "Your page is loading". I find it really annoying. Is anyone else noticing these new ads?
There should only ever be one pop-up when you come on to this site. If you are experiencing more than one, you might want to run your anti-virus software. I got a computer virus a while back that created additional pop-ups on AG and other sites when I went to them.
So you might just want to make sure. Because you should not get any more than one pop-up advertisement per visit to AG.
They don't really pop up as much as they direct you to a new page, or more of a 'detour page'. It is annoying but it also brings more money into ArmorGames. I am fairly sure this is what's going on.
Yes, it is annoying, but ArmorGames must make some form of profit. This is why we have such an awesome website. With more money coming in, it can become even more awesome!

There is one advertisement that does pop-up when you go onto the site though. I thought that was what he was talking about, but maybe not. Orion, could you clarify? Is it an advertisement that literally pops up, or is it just the on-page ads that you are talking about?
When you click on a link to play a game; once in a while, instead of taking you to the game, it takes you to a page with an ad on it (a comercial). After about 5 seconds, it will say "skip add". When you click that, you go to the game page. I have seen this on other sites. It happens a lot when you traverse a website a lot.

the pop ups dont happen if you run scans and look through options of your security thing. the adds arent so bad. exept when you play games and you accidentaly click them a pop up comes and covers your screen of the game. you would not want that to happen while playing the last stand.
Yes..just like commercials on TV create cash revenue for networks. The only difference here is that AG and any other F2P sites have ads to click ... oh, and click ads don't create as much revenue as TV commercials.

There used to be a pop-up ad when I log in for the first time everyday. But nothing of that sort now, thankfully.
