This thread while hold competitions to see which band AG likes the most. You vote on which of the following band is better and why. Then, I will add all of the votes and see which band is better.

RULES
1.You can only vote one time
2.Do not spam (duh).
3.Do not complain if the band you want to win loses

Please keep this clean and I will try to pick bands that people know of.

I agree with Ernie. We finally know a band that Ernie likes. My vote goes to Nirvana,even though The Who have a much lengthier resume. Congrats on 200 pages.

The Who ftw baby! Nothing beats the classics,although Nirvana was a very good band,though overrated.

I generally like most bands from before 1990. It's just that people don't talk about those bands as much...

Not particularly else I wouldn't have asked you to expand on it. Next time try and say why you hate something.

You can't even compare the two. They're 25 years apart and their styles are completely different from one another.


I know and that is why I apologised for the band choice at the start of the battle.

Remember if you make suggestions I will consider them but for now....

Sex Pistols vs. The Clash

We haven't really tried punk yet so here goes...

The Sex Pistols are almost the archetypal punks alot of aggresion and style with admittedly less substance. Some of their best songs are: Anarchy in the UK, Pretty Vacant, God Save the Queen and Submission

The Clash have arguably more talent and are rather more political in their focus. With Strummer having travelled around alot as a child there are more exotic influences on this band. Examples of songs are: London Calling, White Riot, Rock the Casbah, Should I stay or should I go and Clash City Rockers.

I prefer the Clash. One of the first punk groups ever; even though I dislike punk music, I find them to be an exception.

To be honest I was expecting people who didn't like punk to go for The Clash.

and sorry slayermanbob but I will take it as a suggestion and maybe use it as a battle later... however (this is for everyone not just you) recomendations should be made on my profile please.
