Ok, for a while now (and as a while i mean about half of my 15 year old life) I have not been very religious and now I do not believe I have a religion. I do not believe in a god but I am not ready to call myself an Atheist (sorry about spelling). I'm not really sure what call myself except having no religion.
Atheism is not a religion. Its what people call themselves when they don't follow a religion.
The term atheism originated from the Greek á¼Î¸ÎµÎ¿Ï (atheos), which was derogatively applied to anyone thought to believe in false gods, no gods, or doctrines that stood in conflict with established religions.
I am sorry to ruin your happy moment but Atheism is a religion. This is the definition from Wikipedia, [url=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Atheism]
Funny, I get my word definitions from a dictionary. Guess I'm just odd that way.
Wow! I do too! Let's start a freak club. ------------ Atheos also apparently believed in false gods. And while atheism derived from that word, it definitely has a different definition.
Some people would argue that Atheism is a religion, some say it isn't you can decide on that for yourself.
Agnostics are people that don't know what they believe in (i.e. have no religion) and are searching.
If you aren't in those 2 groups, or follow any religion, you are probably a scientologist.
just kidding, but God (or lack there of) knows what you are.
I'm sorry if there are any scientologists here that might be offended, but it was just a joke. I have a close friend of mine who is a scientologist. We poke fun at each others beliefs all the time.
...If you're not Atheist/Religious, that doesn't make you a scientologist. Do you even know what that is?
Duh, I was jokingly implying that scientology isn't a religion. And no, I do not really understand scientology, but that doesn't detract from my joke. Duh.
