Well going to war wasn't a good idea because it raised fuel and people are buying fuel and polluting the air. Also the ecosystem that the animals live in are failing. Well I cant write anymore I have to leave. Bye.

Global warming is killing the Earth, and some people, like my Dad, don't think it's happening. I've tried arguing with him about it but he just won't listen!!

So I guess what I'm saying is, it's a mess! We need to start doing something so we have a place to live, go GREEN people!

OK... Done ranting.

We need to go green before it's too late. War is an unnecessary aspect when we have bigger things like the planet, and economy to worry about. World hunger cannot be stopped but it can be helped. That's what I say.

Unless we lower our C02 output in the next 10 years by 70% the damage will be irrepairable. In short, we are screwed. Now that the recession has kicked in, that is even more unlikely, so yea, double screwed.

I don't think things are nearly as bad as the alarmists want you to think they are, especially with regards to climate change. We've only been studying with any real scientific scrutiny the climate system of the earth for the past 100, 150 years to be generous. The planet has been around for.. a few shades longer then that.

Scientists are coming up with hypothesis' with the best available data, but I think additional data is needed before the scientific community is capable of painting a more accurate picture of both natural climate change, and what impact we are having on it as a species.

Otherwise...

War, Poverty, Disease, Ignorance. Yeah. Doing... great...

Well, I don't think the world is screwed yet, but I do think that the human race is. The population of humans is increasing at and exponential rate, while all our resources are being drained very quickly. If we don't turn turn this around very soon, it's going to be over. I don't think that the few things we're doing now is enough to save our species, we should have started long ago and let it become habit for people do care about the environment. Sure, now a lot of people are being more environmentally friendly, but it's nowhere near everyone. We're just too lazy to care, and that's going to be the end of us.

yep, pretty much sums it up. WE are SCREWed. But this can be prevented if we had invested more time in alternative energies and cleaner ways of disposing trash. Although for some reason, I foresee a baby ban like china, all over the world, due to the exponentially increasing world population, (6.7B now?)

And we all know how that went (and is going) for China...

The china baby ban was when China said each family may only have 1 child.

Well most of the chinese go out of the country have more than 1 kid, then come back. Although the problem now is that even though families are only having 1 child, because of the vast population it doesn't really matter.

I was thinking of trying to regulate children in general. But ya, you're right of course.

But now, because of when they used to kill girl babies if they have not yet had a boy, they're seeing that there's a serious lack of girls. The ratio of males to females is something like 1.2 : 1 I believe. Also, they're still letting the girls be adopted to other countries. I think that the Chinese governments pretty much screwed up their population when the Communist government encouraged families to have multiple children. Hopefully the whole entire world doesn't become to disproportionate, but it seems fairly inevitable.

But if they did place a child limit per family people would still have them in secret, they have them hidden and whatnot. If you've read the Shadow Children series, you know what I'm talking about.
