.unless this site has a bunch of Neo-Nazi lurkers or an Anti-Semitic demographic. It probably doesn't.
haha watch now there's gonna be all kinds of holocaust deniers coming out of the woodwork
People need to get over the ****ing past.
i'll admit topics like this are getting old but it was a giant event in world history that should continue to be discussed if at least to avoid something like it happening in the future

Exactly. I cannot think of any example in which ignoring history led to a beneficial conclusion, but I can think of plenty of times it has caused more damage.
Who cares? So a couple people died,
6 million is not 'a couple'. I recommend a core mathematics textbook. They are easy to understand and relatively cheap.
As terrible as it was, the holocaust did catch the attention of the US and a prompt entrance into the war. On a bit of a morbid note the killing of 6 million did do some good. It lessend the population long with war, which in some way most likley prolonged some of the now ever growing environmental problems we face today...
I hope that was a joke. We can't forget this because we need to recognize when leaders appeal to the people and cover up their true actions.

Then I'm sure the millions of innocents that died there will be happy to know that their deaths caused less pollution. That's a sick thing to say.
Normally I wouldn't make posts on a thread like this, because we all agree it was horrible and wrong, but some of the things written are here are very disturbing.
All Im saying is death doesn't have to be viewed a such a negative thing. I am in no way saying that the Holocaust wasn't a negative and I have nothing but the upmost sympathy for survivors today. I was just formulating a theroy out of the Holocaust as tennisman24 said this was an openended discussion

It doesn't have to be viewed as such a negative thing, but you're not saying it wasn't negative? Please, elaborate. It's an open-ended discussion, but that doesn't stop me from being deeply disturbed by that statement. It implies that since another Holocaust would be good for the environment, it will turn out to be a positive. If you didn't mean to imply that, there's really no point in saying it.
To plenty of people the Holocaust wasn't negative. To Hitler and his followers it wasn't. I myself view it as both. On the negative side, I see it as being pointless, wrong, and terrible for the killing of 6 million innocent peope who caused no harm to anyone. I am saying that on a positive side, which I don't expect anyone to feel good about it, and I thought by saying
On a bit of a morbid note...
I made it clear that I felt bad for saying it, so I'll say it here, I feel bad for saying it, but on a positive side it did clear out a small fraction of the population helping the environment. I also never said that another Holocaust would be god for the enviornment I ment at the time it was a positive for the environment, even though it was still terrible...
In the grand scheme of things, 6 million people from a population of about 2.5 billion in 1945 is pretty negligible and it's doubtful that it would have any long term impact at all.
Depending on your view, a positive that came out of it was the support it harboured for the eventual creation of Israel.
To plenty of people the Holocaust wasn't negative.
It is negative for a normal person, then. I understand that you don't support Holocausts. I know you didn't say another Holocaust would be good for the environment. I said that, not you. But it wouldn't be worth the lives that would be lost. Your statements seemed to imply that the Holocaust was worth it. So I was saying that if you don't believe this, there's no point in showing that it helped the environment.
Anyway, this discussion is pointless. I'm not accusing you of supporting the Holocaust, but your statement was very shocking. The Holocaust was not worth it, and the only point in showing the positives that came out of it would be to prove that it was worth it.
