I haven't watched either of the movies, but I've read both of the books, and Angels and Demons was greatly superior to the Da Vinci Code (even though both of them were filled with hogwash).

filled with hogwash

That's an understatement. The book itself was hogwash. Of course the people didn't believe the priory was real. Of course they passed aside any talk about Da Vinci's paintings hiding secrets. And they did believe that the Holy Grail was in the Lourve.

Just kidding. =p

Yeah I thought the book was fantastic!! I did like the film but there is jusso much information in the book that the film kinda suffered since I dont think it got across everything that was in the book...that I can remember.

There weren't many sexual scenes right?

Let us just say that, where the book had an actual romance going on, with a sex scene, the film had... Nothing. Nothing at all. There was "moments", but that was all. If you blinked you would miss them.
I cannot quite figure out if it is good or bad, though.

Couldn't agree more. Seeing stories that are this fantastical on film makes you realise how silly it all is.

I saw the film yesterday. I wasn't that impressed. I'd say it was marginally superior to the Da Vinci code as a movie, but that's because the book was superior. I just don't think books like this work on the big screen. There are so many pages devoted to them thinking on how to solve the puzzles in their head which the film just replaces with endless Tom Hanks monologues which get tiresome quite quickly.

Another thing I was disappointed with was the lack of characterisation. In the book Hank's female counterpart played quite a big role. In the film she pretty much just followed him around.

At least it plays out in front of you, rather than in your mind. I can't really imagine Silas beating himself, or Teabing as the villain.
