I have one of a potato, it is on my foot... No not really:|
But I really would like to get one, because I design emblems for gangs/groups ect, and I would like to have one tattooed on the back of my wrist. I am just afraid of getting dirty needles when I go in.
I've got two. I have one on my upper sleeve of a dragons eye. I had the eye colored green to match the color of my eyes and I got it to siginify character. I blieve that character is doing the right thing even if nobody is watching so now I alwys have an eye on me, watching.
The second one I have is a biomechanical design on the side of my left calf. The skin appears to rip away and inside you can see nothing but machinery like servo's, pistons, and wires. I got it because I had a nickname in high school. I was called the machine by my team mates (football, track) because I was so strong. I had a backsquat of 450lbs @ 220lbs and a deadlift of 485lbs @ 220. Everyone said I had the legs of a machine so I figured why not get a tattoo to match

!! please pictures!!!
485lbs
remember how I said I was weak due to my asian background and I could barely bench 180... I expected for you to beat me... but this is like no contest...
I think they're a lot of fun to get, I think they're sexy, and an interesting expression of art.
I agree on the last two, but the pain does depend on how much fat there is, at least that's my theory. I got one of mine on my shoulder which hurt quite a bit, the other on my ass which I barely felt.

I'm not so sure. The work directly on my tailbone was not painful at all; nor was the spine. Some of my ribs was a bit uncomfortable, but my shoulder blades & the sides of the neck were chirping agony; like, *real* pain. Still, I wouldn't trade away those sensations for anything.
Well, *anything*.... =P I think it was all part of getting it done though, and I enjoyed the experience. I find the contrast in sensation to be electrifying - my artist would need to clear the area of any blood or excess ink & would sometimes she would grab a bottle of cold water mixed with disinfectant & spray, then rub it over my back. Going from the hot needle to that was a shock for the senses I'll not soon forget.
well i dont think its right to deface my body like that, and im pretty sure its against my religion. anyway i still think their crazy and ill probably get one anyway, as soon as i turn 18 im gonna get a really sick tat of a wolf on my shoulders...
