Yesterday, I heard that in four (or five) states in the US, they are now reccomending for all drivers to not smile during there license photo.
Reason: Apparently there is a computer system that matches ideas and if people smile or make facial expressions it confuses the system. Also, it will stop people from getting fake licenses.
My opinion: I think that if it will cut down on fake licenses and help the matching process then there is really no reason go against it. Although it is quite fun to make funny faces. XD

What?!?! Are you crazy, that is the biggest bull I have ever heard. No smiling?!?!

Not smiling, common! Even if you get a fake license, you don't have to smile. You could easily pull off not smiling to trick the cops out. Smiling has no effect on your license. That is why it is so hard to tell whether it is a fake license, or a real one.
wow thats crazy... and it just might work. but when I went for my drivers test, I got my picture right after so... I would have had to be drunk during the test.
You don't want to look drunk because if you are a good driver like me, you don't need to look drunk. You can just smile and be happy. Don't try to hide the fact that you are drunk, that is a babyish excuse. /\\ \\/ Btw, just because your license photo looks like you drunk, the police will still do all off the test. Especially the Breathalizer and the "Standup-and-try-to-wake-straight" test.
hmm I remember they actually asked me to smile when I took my picture for my permit(though I didn't anyways), but I also had to take off my glasses because they created glare, so it ended up looking stupid no matter what, but yeah I have nothing against not having to smile, since I don't want to, and if someone actually has an issue with it then its their problem.
