Will the US deteriorate? Who will be the next super power? Will communism rule the world?

No the US will not deteriorate from it's superpower status. No other country that isn't already a superpower has the economical AND the military support to rise to that level. No communism will not rule the world. Communism died with the soviet union. There are to few hardliner regimes to support an international communist revolution. Not to mention the sheer international distrust of these hardliners. If they wanted to expand they would be invaded so fast they wouldn't even have time to withdraw.

I have to disagree with the perspective on the US. Its slipping in terms of economic might, and you have to admit we've become rather lazy. In terms of military we're still leading, but in terms of allies we lost a lot over the last 8 years, which can be an important part of a superpower.

I think the only possible country's that might rise to superpower status right now would be China or India, due to their sheer potential. They have plenty of problems though, so it may hold them back, especially with the downturn in the market which China relies so heavily on.

Communism is dead. China is the largest power that still claims to be communist. But they are as capitalist as the US.

No I don't think the U.S will deteriorate. I hope Obama will help the U.S.

Hopefully Obama will help the US, but with our trillions of dollars in debt I can see it slipping from it's usually standards. China certainly has the military power to rule the world. The Red Wave is the largest military on the planet (I think).

And one of these days someone might give Communism another shot. All it needs is a strong eight and no assassinations.

There are a lot of communist organizations. But none have much power. Some communist parties are in power, but they are as capitalist as you can get. Cuba is really the closest thing to Socialism. Other than that, communism is in retreat.

The U.S has already deteriorated, China has been the super power for a long time now.

Although I don't think communism will rule the world or anything like that, unless Russia became another world power. But Reagan ready took care of Russia.

Sigh...
I thought you'd be banned by now with your incredibly obvious trolling...

Eh, not quite. Economically China is still slightly behind, and in terms of military, despite having incredible numbers, China is behind in terms of technology. Most of their aircraft are outdated, and they don't have the new technology that several Western military's are equipped with. China's extreme dependence on trade weakens their status as a superpower too...

I agree with thelistman. China is the ideal image capitalism!!

They take advatage of the workers, the common people! Isn't communism supposed to be for the people?

Well, anyways, to answer the topic question...No I don't believe the U.S. will fall.

Not soon anyways, times change fast. But as long as the U.S. economy is strong, so will the U.S. remain in world politics.

War with the West would disrupt it's major source of income. It would put pressure many Chinese workers in factories to halt or severely cut production because of fewer markets for their products.
