I was just flipping through some youtube pranks , and for some reason some kid had a video of him (marilyn manson) speaking about how millions of religions have benn worshiping a dead guy on a stick . And obviously you know who hes talking about and if you don't then leave this thread , and look up Jesus Christs crusifiction . Anyways this guy ( you can even call him a girl ) is a class A freek . And I would like some one to tell me why he isn't . I still don't know how peaple can agree with this worshipper of the anti christ .

I dress in whats comfortable. I wear mostly black, black shirt, black bdu, and black pants or shorts most of the time. I've got tattoo's, I've got percings, I wear wrist bands with studs and spikes, and everybody I know accepts me. My parents do, my professors at college do, my employers, my girlfriend and her parents, even her grandmother does. Haven't you ever heard of the saying:

I'm not really into the goth scene. I used to have bright blue mohawk that stood nearly a foot tall though. Different scene but the same idea. And he doesn't dress like that normally. He is a goth but not like that when he's not meant to be in the spot light. Marilyn Manson is his alter ego, he created this character and there's nothing wrong with it.
But Somers I could just as easily say that a real man is comfortable enough with his own sexuality not to hate gays. Or, more on topic, a real man dresses how he likes because it takes courage to live the way you feel comfortable without being bothered by what others think.

He is not goth! look it up! Originaly the word goth meant bright, light and beautiful. It was a style used by the spanish in churchs and other buildings of significance. Although in the new meaning he deffinitly dresses like a goth.

Wrong, it's a subculture. So is emo. It has nothing to do with being happy or sad. I know lots of goths that are very happy. I suppose if you wanted to look at it in the most superficial way you could it is like emo in appearance, but more make up and flashier clothing. The music that is sterotypically listened to by them is gothic rock and metal. But that is a very sterotypical explanation.
Some how we've driffted off topic. At first we were discussing his veiws on religion and how he's received by society. Now we're talking about what real men wear?
Back on subject, Marilyn Manson aka Brian Hugh Warner (male name...) is not a devil, or demon worshiper. He is not possessed, it's all apart of his image. Yes he was deemed a Minister, Priest, Reverend whichever you prefer of Anton Szandor LaVey's Church of Satan, but hey, here in America people are aloud to do and say what they like. The only reason he attacks religion the way he does is becasue when growing up he went to a Chirstian School in Ohio which he hated. People don't like him because he's not afraid of what others think and how people will react. He doesn't care if society accepts him.
The burden of originality is one that most people don't want to accept. They'd rather sit in front of the TV and let that tell them what they're supposed to like, what they're supposed to buy, and what they're supposed to laugh at. I view my job as being someone who is supposed to piss people off. I don't want to be just one-of-the-guys. Manson is a smart man, he knew his target was teens full of angst and dad whatever he could to get negative attention from older people because he knew that would draw in his target audience more and more. If you sat down and listened to interviews of him you would be able to see that he is an intelligent person.

I don't agree with him. Even though what he says is...partially somewhat correct it's very rude and disrespectful to Christians. He's probably just an attention seeker and will do anything for it. Disrespectful slanderer!
