HUNTING? why do you kill animals for fun? they have lives too you know. imagine, you wern't the dominate species anymore, deers were, and what if they killed your kind for fun? would you be having fun?
if we didnt hunt there would be to many deer they would run out of space to live and move closer to humans were they could smash cars and what not and like i said be fore we hunted to survive at one time it is in our blood and some people dont hunt for fun they do it to get food you wont find in a grocery store
Hunting isn't needed by most for survival anymore. If you're still one of those few people stuck in the Alps with nothing more than a two-room log cabin, a kettle, an axe, and a rifle, then by all means you should hunt to survive. But if you're one of those with a comfortable life, there is no point in killing other animals.
I have never hunted, although I have gone fishing twice for crawdads, putting them in a little box full of water, and then dumping the crawdads and the water back into the creek.
I am one with nature, are I not? Actually I am. Just not specifically with catching or killing animals.

Not nescessarily true. In the case of deer, legally, you can only hunt them in certain seasons when the cullling of the population is nescessary. Hunting them is good for the environment. They overbreed and then starve to death as there isn't enough food. If left unchecked they also wipe the habitat clean of plants and shrubs affecting other animals on the food chain' Although you may think it wrong for people to derive entertainment from it, it's a nescessary exercise.
I have been stalking a few times in Scotland and have killed my share of Stag. Although I acknowledge many would see it as morally wrong to do so, the experience is interesting to say the least. The hightened sense of awareness you feel when hunting something is a unique, exhilarating experience. If it makes anyone feel any better, we did take the Stag back and cook it as venison.

Very nice!
I have stalked some deer in northern missouri, it was pretty darn exciting. After rubbing some fox pee on me, my friends and I set up a canopy. Then we basically stayed there for a few hours, while our hunger for venison grew, we decided to split up. The people stalking the deer took bows, 50 pound (pulling weight I mean) bows, and these sick broad arrows made by thunderhead.
within the next 20 minutes, I spotted a 6 point stag, needless to say I attempted to shoot it down with my companions. My buddy lodged an arrow in the right left flank while I managed to get an arrow close to the heart. Basically we ended up chasing a mangled deer for half a mile, and since we couldn't carry all of it back to base camp, we had to cut up the good parts and carry that back.
