I would like to know where in the Bible does it say that homosexuality is a sin. Not that it would matter to me, because i do not believe in a God, but I don't think the bible teaches that homosexuality is wrong.

I still have no idea who to post links...anyway there's a few verses about it. Now don't forget that this is the same thing as saying don't lie it's a sin, all sins are equal and we shouldn't prosecute one group without being equally ignorant towards the others :P

As I recall, in the Wisdom Books. I bet you couldn't tell me where it says "don't screw horses" either. Its common sense.

And as for the "all sins are equal" drivel, where does that come from. Are you saying murdering your family and spending a week humping their corpses is on par with taking a fellow office worker's pen? Get serious.

While this may be completely off-topic, I'd like to say that even though I believe homosexuality to be against the Bible, I don't think homosexuals engaging in homosexual activity will go to Hell. I think that people need to intend to do wrong in order for it to be completely wrong. That's why I condone homosexuality but don't redlaly like it. It's not my place to judge these people, and I don't think for a second that they are bad people.
Samy, to post a link you need to click on link, put in the link, then write something after it, and then end the link.

To human standards obviously not, but to the God that I believe in yes they are, God's perfect he can't be around sin so any thing even taking someones pin makes it do we can't be with him.

So your saying being heterosexual is commonsense and being homosexual is not, correct?

Ya, I've thought about this idea a few times I'd have to say I disagree but still i can see an easy argument for it. :P

Like I said, it's a tricky situation to be in. I'm not gay, and I only know one gay person, so I don't have a great perspective on it. Therefore, I don't think I can make judgements on the people themselves. I can hold my own personal beliefs on the acts as long as said beliefs don't harm or affect other people. But realistically, it doesn't bother me because it doesn't hurt anybody.

Agreed, I have a few gay christian friends and while I think I usually win our arguments (all in fun) they bring up points such as addictions and other sin's. However I think as long as you truly are struggling with a situation and you want to change your all right, but it's like a crack addiction if you don't want to change no one wants to hear about how you do, anyone I hope that offends no one.

Wow, wonder where the topic goes now? This might become another Homosexuality thread. I feel the same way about sins in general, too. Sadly enough, I don't get to have discussions like these at school because nobody knows anything about Christianity (in my private CHRISTIAN high school).

Also, I made a typo. I hate it when I do that! >:|

Haha welcome to my (old) life, I'll leave some suggestions about how to um make that better on your profile.

Then I guess all of us are going to Hell. What would you do against sinning? Asking for his
forgiveness? That's all fine and dandy, but it seems to me that you take this for granted. It
seems to me that you guys keep on committing sins and asking for forgiveness again and again,
thinking that it is ok to do so without any sort of consequences.

[/offtopic]

Now then, I'm glad that there is at least one Christian that isn't fundamental in the Bible.
I'm glad that they don't think that blacks are their servants* and that gays should be dammed
to Hell**. We need more people like you. It's all fine and dandy if you don't like them, just
as long as you don't believe that they are improper since they have been gay.

*This used to be in the Bible, then was taken out by the Church after slavery was abolished,
in order to keep their religion intact.

**spelled wrong to prevent censoring

That's the thing, though. If you think it's okay to sin, you're not sorry. As a Catholic, I don't like confessing my sins to another person I don't really know, so I try not to sin as much.

Make that two. Me and Samy.

Haha well some old people like Shin know me as more of a fundamentalist but hey I've changed, so now I can confidently say that ya I am a fundamentalist but I just have the right fundamental views haha.

Honestly I struggle a bit with porn and crap like that..and I always feel terrible after doing things that pertain to things like it, I do it again and again and I feel terrible but I don't take mercy for granted I do struggle with it and struggling and begging forgives is the thing that gives us the ability to live with God, even though we've sinned; he loves us that much.

In society, or even in human nature, it is not equal, as it has more of an effect on you or others. But in the christian religion, every sin is indeed equal.

Every sin is definetly not equal. Have you ever heard of venial sins and mortal sins?

As for what Shintetsu said
but it seems to me that you take this for granted. It
seems to me that you guys keep on committing sins and asking for forgiveness again and again,

Sinning does come with consequences even after confession. That is what purgatory is.

God basically has two sides, His merciful side and His just (meaning justice) side.

Being able to confess your sins shows mercy, but having to go to purgatory for your sins shows justice.
