Okay, seeing as occasionally people complain about their threads getting locked and they don't know why, I've come up with a simple idea on how to solve it:

How about Mods can fill out a little form that goes on every page of the locked thread, explaining why is was locked? That way, people can't complain about their threads being locked for no reason. It can go oon the top and people will quickly see it.

Well, most mods do state the reason for locking the thread. Especially Zoph and Strop. Explicit. Though sometimes they just lock it, exasperated at the number of threads to lock.

I'm pretty sure they'd eventually be saying 'It was a crap thread'.

Well they(sometimes)post the reason before they lock it in threads.

If a thread really...is horrible...it is pointless to list a reason why. Even more so since we get AP for that post, and brings it it the top of the list.

So sometimes it is just bad business to go "lawl, look at bad topic now brought to front of page."

The deal is as follow.

If we find it necessary to explain why the thread was locked, we post in it with a reason that we think explains it well enough.

Sometimes we think it's obvious, and do not bother posting. Sometimes we forget posting because of real life distractions and such. Sometimes someone just don't understand our explanation.

In the latter cases, you can ALWAYS message a mod and ask why a specific thread was locked. We don't bite.

Of course also what Voidy said, but I think it's important that people know that they can just ask...

Also, filling out a form every time, just no. Too many threads.

That's why I'm suggesting a special place for you guys to post it! Not a comment, a little space where you can write it.

Yeah, but loads of users still whine about their thread being locked for no reason.

But some people still feel intimidated by the word 'moderator'. It sounds like you can bite.

Honestly, that doesn't matter.
Whiners. Enough said.
Though it is legit to ask why your thread was locked if you really don't know.

We can. >:]
But that's just something people have to get over. They'll learn eventually. It's not like we have daily threads popping up asking why a thread was locked. It's an occasional thing.

That's only if you tick them off or something, just like any other joes around here, except
they've been trained to suppress their anger, lest they get under the foot of Carlie or any
other big cheese

Devoidless flunked out of anger suppressions training, so don't piss him off either :P

And only Zoph bites. The rest of us have very large and awkward weapons for our amusement ^^

@Andr35: No they dont exagerate personaly i think there should be more &quotoppin n lockin" here but hey thats my opinion.

@Ulimatepower: I think im neutral in this i like the idea but i can also see the reasoning why mods wont do it.

Well occasionally Zoph or Strawp posts a cool pic that explains it pretty well why it was locked..

Nom?

Yeah, but only sometimes...
As often as possibly, actually. Not all threads fit for one of the pics I have, but I'm making more~
Still, not all of them fit the stereotypical lock reason.
