Okay, seeing as occasionally people complain about their threads getting locked and they don't know why, I've come up with a simple idea on how to solve it:

How about Mods can fill out a little form that goes on every page of the locked thread, explaining why is was locked? That way, people can't complain about their threads being locked for no reason. It can go oon the top and people will quickly see it.

As often as possibly, actually.

That sounds good.
Not all threads fit for one of the pics I have, but I'm making more

Some of the pics are pretty funny!

So, I think my thread has been sort of debated enough, it should be locked.

Lockies? There was a thread about lockies wasn't it?

As sep said, I'm neutral.

Don't really care, the lockies explain the lock reason.

I will never become a mod, so I don't really care if they need to fill something or not.

Strop is usually good about it.... but some threads say "Lock this if this is duplicated" or "In the wrong section".

The rules say you shouldn't say those things in a single post because they are considered spam.

So you wouldn't care if the feature doesn't get added?

No.
I see no reason for it to be added

I think he meant that some people say that in their OP, becaus they figure there might be a previous thread like that.

with a picture of a guy
D: Zoph is female! Aside from that, I'm glad it was clear enough.
More lockies in development~~~ (And some of the current to be redrawn.)

Yes, for the record I try to write reasons for every thread I lock.

...and yes I also have a range of locking pictures. But they're a bit cryptic.

Personally I'm not sure that the form would change our behaviour in this regard. I always take pains to explain as a personal preference because unless it's old and dead and really has no place on the front page, at least it can serve as an example of what kind of things not to do in these forums.
