Yes. Googlism. It is an actual religion. Funnily enough, you can learn about it on google. Check it out and tell me what you think. I think it is the first religion of many in a new technology-independent generation.
WOW. I just looked it up on google, and according to it, I just prayed to the all powerful god known as Google. Somehow, it actually makes sense. Seems a bit like the pasta religion to me though in its absurdity.
Technically, it is a god of technology if you will. It is an entirely automated system and it knows 95% of the modern world. Also, it does make sense that people worship it, as people will worship anything. But, it is really stupid.
Pft, Google might give you information, but most people are somewhat unable to use a simple search engine or be aware of flaws in that information. Do I need to bring up the North Pacific Tree Dwelling Octopus, or do you get my point. I would rather be the believer of meta search engines than google.
well, Is Google making us Stoopid? The Atlantic explores the idea that we are gradually losing our capability to retain information because everyone now is so heavily depended on google.

Not everyone relies on Google. The rely on technology. Google just happens to be apart of the technology. We, as humans, rely so much on technology that if one little thing breaks, we have a panic attack. If we only relied on Google, we would be consumed with false media.
Google is highly commercial. And annoying, and rather stupid to use. If you are looking for something, and using google, it might not even find it. Why? Because it does not search the entire document, and only updates once in a while.
