Yesterday, June 6, 2009, was the 65th anniversary of D-Day. I thought, then, that it would be interesting to make an RPG off of the events of D-Day and Operation Overlord. This RPG is open for three people.

D, i check the german's sniper (( i whacked him in the face with it ) for anything useful, such as ammo or a better scope, that kind of thing. then i check the nearest couple rooms and then head to the roof.
oops forgot this Name: John Parker Division: 79th Infantry Class: Rifleman Equipment: Scoped Springfield with Bayonet, Pistol, Molotov Cocktails (1), First aid kit, Rifle Grenades (3) Perks: Penetration, Conditioning
(Hrm, I've seen that quote before, and it's used in reference for how the Allies would mass fire their bolt action rifles, in short, as a group, not the individual.)
The bunker in the rear covers the retreat of the remaining Rangers, who take their machine guns and grab as much ammo as they can before falling back to the rear trench. The engineers, last to leave, lay mines in the trenches to surprise the Germans. The halftracks continue to pound the Ranger's positions with their mounted machine guns. As Cpl. Hawkeye continues to snipe, there's one thought running through his head: Too many Germans...
By the manor, a stalemate has occurred. Grenades lob about like a macabre game of hot potato. One of the halftracks comes along to reinforce the Germans. As the anti-tank man stands up to blast away the halftrack, he is suddenly hit in the head, falling dead. Sgt. Miller, leader of the fireteams, picks up his fallen soldier's bazooka and fires the remaining rocket, which misses. At this point neither side has any explosives, and flanks from the Germans result in fierce hand-to-hand fighting.
The halftracks approach the trenches, still creating withering fire, when suddenly one of them explodes into a great fireball. There's a whizz...an American plane! In the distance, American tanks and infantry stream through the bocage, destroying the remaining halftracks and mopping up the last of the infantry. The Germans are crushed in the center.
Of the 250 rangers who stormed the heights of Pointe du Hoc, only 90 remained able to fight. One of these was Greg Hawkeye, who later fought in the Battle of Brest and the Battle of Hurtgen Forest and was later promoted to Sergeant.
Among the three initial squads that came as reinforcements to the Rangers, only five men survived, including Staff Sergeant Sam Miller. He continued to serve in the 1st Infantry Division and fight for the liberation of France, was wounded at Aachen, but recovered in time to fight in Czechoslovakia when the war ended.
(Thanks for joining this RPG of mine...I know it was pretty short, but I don't think I could keep it up much longer, and I was planning to wrap it up eventually. For putting up with me through this whole thing, I have you guys on my "VIP" list, which means that you can reserve a spot on an RPG of mine that you want to join when I notify you beforehand about it. Again, thanks, I hope you enjoyed it!)

The Kar98k's scope and ammo are incompatible with the Springfield, so you move on. The other rooms are deserted, and you don't feel like checking them in case there are any more booby traps.
You regroup with the rest of the squad and head to the nearby plaza. A fierce battle is going on, but it looks like the Germans are having an upper hand with a light flak gun tearing through the light cover your Allies are huddled behind.
A) Snipe them down with your rifle. B) Use a rifle grenade to blast away the gun crew. C) Take the long way around and flank them. D) Other
Whooooo! Awsome ending! Like Saving Private Ryan :L although you didn't have me shooting at a tank with a pistol to have it blow up ¬_¬ Thanks for the great RPG-well made and was real fun I became Sergeant? Even better ) Should've given me a medal And nice to survive in a few more battles too
actually, he was aiming at the vision port to kill the driver and the gunner, as both can be shot from the vision port in a panzer. This was remedied in later models
He did that in the beginning with his Thompson. When he was lying there shooting at it with his pistol he was doing it hopelessly, until the plane blew it up.
You see a squad member loading his rifle grenade, you mimic him and shoot at the same time, miraculously hitting the flak barrel at the same time the gun crew fired, tearing up their defensive line and sending shrapnel spiraling. The remaining squad advanced upward.
