Yesterday, June 6, 2009, was the 65th anniversary of D-Day. I thought, then, that it would be interesting to make an RPG off of the events of D-Day and Operation Overlord. This RPG is open for three people.

You bust open the door and shoot the Germans in the kitchen. The Germans upstairs hear what is going on and run down, and you fumble with the reload. Not having the time, you whip out your pistol and shoot through the door, since your bullets have added penetration. There's still one more German, and you run him through with your bayonet. After getting Johnson and Wilson in, the three of you kill the MG gunners upstairs from behind. From your second floor view, you spot the artillery pieces in the middle of the Bocage, a maze of thick hedges.
What action will you take now?
A) Grab the MGs and use them to take out the troops in the front of the manor. B) Go to the Bocage by yourself and destroy the guns. C) Report back to your captain. D) Other
Whoop! Successful breach! D) Get Johnson and WIlson to take the MG stations and kill the Germans in front of the manor keeping our forces busy whislt I go back and report back to the captain on my findings.
Name: John Parker Division: 79th Infantry Class: Rifleman Equipment: M1 Garand, Pistol, Molotov Cocktails, First aid kit Perks: Penetration, Conditioning
"Go! Go! Go!"
Mortar fire and MG42 bullets fill the air as you race up the hill to Cherbourg. You are the first one to reach cover with your Conditioning, a stone fence. The objective: take this hill so that the way to Cherbourg is unimpeded, and destroy the flak gun on top.
One of the soldiers tosses a grenade, destroying the first MG nest. You move forward, tumbling over the fences. There are a few choices here:
A) Attempt to flank left around the MG nest. B) Take cover and pick off the occupants. C) Toss a Molotov (You only have two, though, so try to conserve) D) Other
Wilson and Johnson man the MG42s and mow down the Germans from behind, and they are crushed in the center like a grape. You run back to your commander, reporting that the guns are hidden in the Bocage. Your commander takes the information and splits up the men into four groups with different objectives. Which group will you accompany?
A) Group A is heading into the Bocage to take out the guns. B) Group B is going to clear the Germans out of the village past the manor. C) Group C is going to secure the vineyard. D) Group D is staying to prepare defensive measures against the inevitable German counterattack.
You go with the first group, a total of 12 men, including you. The bocage is like a maze; it winds in and out. You peer over the next turn to see an MG42. They see you and start opening suppressive fire, pinning you down.
A) Run to the other side and take cover there. B) Try to navigate your way behind them with your squad and leave the other men there. C) Try to return fire where you are. D) Other
(It's all right, I understand. Just making sure where you were. Also, remember to include a last name.)
You bail out the side and into the water below as the door opens. The water is deeper than you expected, and you manage to untie your equipment straps, almost drowning in the process. You make your way up the beach. MG and mortar fire are everywhere, and men are getting torn apart. There are men everywhere; the first wave is still pinned down by the shingle.
You rally your men and rush down, taking cover by the hedgehogs. A few of your men toss smoke grenades to cloak the way. You and your squad manage to make it to the shingle. There's a mass of barbed wire blocking the way. What do you do?
A) Try to climb over it. B) Blast it away. C) Travel down the shingle and hopefully find an opening. D) Other
The young engineer has a satchel charge ready, putting it under the barbed wire and setting the fuse. With an explosion the barbed wire is destroyed, and you and your squad rush down the nearest trench on the other side. There's an MG ahead pinning you down. What do you do?
A) Toss a grenade. B) Tell your sniper to take the MG out. C) Tell your men to toss smoke grenades to bypass the MG. D) Perform a distraction and flank attack on the MG. E) Other
You suggest a bayonet charge, but your captain shoots it down.
"That MG will mow us down before we get to them! We need to take it out!"
Peeking over the edge, you notice that the MG is mounted on an overturned table. You ready your Garand and shoot through the table, as your bullets have extra penetration, taking out the gunner. As the others cover you, your squad charges in, taking out the rest of the Germans.
The rest of the Bocage is undefended, and you make it to the clearing where the guns are. The engineers mount Thermite bombs on the guns, melting their inner mechanisms and destroying them.
You have several places you can go:
A) Back to the manor to help with defensive measures B) To the vineyard to aid the group there C) The village to aid the group there D) Perform a recon outside of the bocage
Name: John Parker Division: 79th Infantry Class: Rifleman Equipment: M1 Garand, Pistol, Molotov Cocktails, First aid kit Perks: Penetration, Conditioning
You fire your Garand at the MG nest, and manage to hit the person helping the machine gunner, but your aim is unsteady; this is your first battle and you are nervous. You see a dead comrade and grab his grenades, tossing them at the nest. It's a bulls-eye! The grenade demolishes the nest, and your company moves up.
You finally reach the top, and are just about to destroy the flak gun, but then someone shouts that there are more Germans coming up the other side of the hill with half-tracks!
A) Creep down the hill and use your molotovs to take out the half-tracks. B) Use your Garand to pick off the people in the half-tracks. C) Mount the flak gun and use it to destroy the half-tracks. D) Other
