They are going too far! I mean, the ads are absolutely everywhere, easily clickable spots on games, there's about 10 or 20 on the side of your profile, and then there's the new ad system which when you go to a link, this zwinky or HP pentium and other ads pop up and prohibit you from loading yoru page for about 3 seconds until you can hit the "Skip ad" button, and another 13 until the ad just goes away.

I agree, but arguing about ads is usually pointless. All I can say is get an ad-blocking program.

There have been quite a few complaints about the ads lately. Complaining about them brings the problem to attention and it is obvious that it is becoming an issue to some degree.

Despite it being an issue, we also know that every single ad on AG brings in money -money needed to run the website.

Does anybody have any alternate ideas? Any suggestions of where the ads can go on the page? A new way of presenting the countdown ads? I must remind you that they have to run long enough for the viewer to know what the product is about or AG doesn't make any money from the ad. Part of a contract.

So any ideas of how the ads can be used but not in the way?

Well, Maybe if there was a customizable ad system on your userpage. The user could have the section on the right catagorized by what they like, which means they would have to check it out regardless. As for cowntdown ads, why not put them in the games? Newgrounders got over it faster than you can even imagine and it going for 6 seconds instead of a full 14 or 15 seconds is a lot less tedious. The thing that I don't liek about the new countdown ad system is that you have to reload the page regardless if the ad says it's loaded or not.

The bottom/top of the community is PERFECT. Not in the way, and will show up on threads or when people
are viewing the forums. Can work in the game section, too, if there is room.

i agree with thoadthetoad. on the bottoms of games like amorphous plus there are ads and the whole game is controlled by mouse. so its very easy to click an ad. and which some ads give u pop-ups it slows your connection. maybe AG should move the ads to the blue parts of the site.

ShintetsuWA said that the bottom and top would be perfect and i agree. AG just needs to pay attention to how these things could mess with us while playing these games.

LOSE THE RETARDED ADS I HATE THEM

well lets pretend you mother was Armor games website, and the ads are her life support...

Would you want to pull the tubes away because they're annoying? thus killing your mother? I think not! Ads are important for the well being of the site, unless you plan to dish out like 5 bucks a month (I sure don't) and play ad free other wise learn to have a cup of STFU. kthxbai.

I have one. Instead of making it take up the whole page, just make it take up a corner or side, like a pop-up. Then have the skip ad button also on it. My main problem is that it prevents me from getting to see what I was aiming for, and sometimes it is a bit laggy and takes ten seconds for the button to appear.

Hey, link it like this, kacboy.
Just for future reference, you click on link, put the thing in, THEN type something after it, then click end link. Then again, it's not really an inconvenience to copy and paste for me, but just felt like being a pal.

I don't like the Ad's but once I saw a ad for a sex toy or some thing I've been trying to copy the image and show it to the Mods and Admins but I can't find it so I think it was removed!!!!
