do you think that time travel to the future would some day be possible? i don't think it would. if you think about it, the things that we do in the present affect outcomes in the future. and sense there are endless possibilities of things that can be done in the present, there could be millions of different futures. basically, its like trying to read ahead to the pages of an unfinished book to where nothing is written.

also, if time travel were possible period, wouldn't someone from the future come back in time to the present day and tell us? or maybe they're hiding in secret... knowing that if they reveal themselves to be visitors from the future that it will ultimately alter the future.

confused? well, just state your opinion of whether or not you think time travel will someday be possible. i think that only with something as complex as quantum computers will be closer to achieving the phenomenon of time travel.

My link failed, I wonder why? Anyway, to get to it, go to yotube.com and search the tenth dimension, watch the one that says part one, after that watch part two. They're pretty awesome.

I would have to say Time Travel to get a good result, you'd have to be able to go really fast. And if you could go faster than light, and what we see is a reflection of light, what do you see past the reflection of light? Would it be like seeing the reflection of a pond and going into it? I really wouldn't know, so even if we did figure out a way to travel faster than time, I don't think that the results of time travel would end well for the test subject.

If we find something faster than light, I think we're screwed. It would mess up the world too much. For example. What if someone went back in time and killed Hitler? The world would be changed. Time travel may not be invented. There may be a different world war 2 that is even worse than the one the person prevented by killing Hitler. The horrible/good possibilities are endless. Literally

Going faster than light wouldn't be time travel. No matter how fast you go, you wouldn't be able to go into the past anywhere on Earth, and even if you went faster than the speed of light to another planet, technically, you're not going forward in time, you're just arriving there sooner than the people back at your starting destination could see it with there eyes/telescope, whatever they're doing to see it. That's not time travel, its just moving very quickly.

There wouldn't be much of a point to time travel except to observe. Everything that is happening is set in stone. Everything is in a continuum. It's all one straight line. Back to Future would be a good thing to explain it, sort of.

We actually don't know that. There are many theory's that time is actually more fluid, not a constant. Until we actually travel back in time, if its even possible, we can't know what will happen just based off our current knowledge of time and space, seeing how it's a dimension that can't really be explored and tested yet

Time travel might be possible in the future, although if you try to change something in the past, there might be horrible side-effects.Imagine if you would accidentaly kill an bug specie in the prehistorical age.The slightest change, mistake,or almost anything can affect the present and inevitablly the future. So humanity should think a million times before using time travel.

There are many theories of Time Travel, and just cause of that time travel cannot be specified well. Some say that time travel would not cause any disruption in the time line, also some say that it would. Some theories even say that time travel would not be possible, but seeing the future and past would be possible.. in an image or video.

Even with a video, seeing the future could alter the choices you make and therefore alter the future! But I don't see how the past is a problem in terms of just looking at it for studying.

But think about this comrades, how do you know that someone from the future isn't watching everything you're doing as we speak? How do we know that people aren't stalking us in a future world where looking at the past is possible?

Well, with the possibility of 2012 looming ahead, we may not have the time to develop time travel.
