And I would add free loans to the hard working poor people.

You have to pay back loans. That would make their credit plummet. Also, poor people have a place in society. It's called menial labor. Poor people (no offense) make everybody else able to afford that video game they want, and help them get half decent jobs. Now with illegal labor, poor people are poorer as they now have no jobs.

And if there are some people who dont become agnostic I will shoot in the back of the head because I dont agree with them. :P

Agnosticism isn't really a belief, so much as a logical standpoint. You can be an agnostic theist or an agnostic atheist. Either way it wouldn't end religiously motivated violence.

Precisely. Most liberals on here are radical, most conservatives are radical but not hyper pushy bash everybody that's not liberal.

That's not really surprising. Any site with user anonymity will display more polarised views.

That's the bashing I was talking about. You people act as if being conservative is a disease, so before you ever call us close-minded rednecks again, think about what you're saying, *** you have a 90% chance of being close-minded yourself. So as a counter...

Liberals are open minded and reformist by the nature of the ideology itself. Conservatives are close minded and reactionary by the nature of the ideology itself.

Also, I think that a bartering system would do good for the world. A set price on everything doesn't make a lot of sense, except for things that need a set price (i.e. Oil, food, weapons, ect.).

That would be more imperfect than the system that exists now and would cause numerous other problems besides.

Actually yes I do. Here's the definitions:

Communism falls under the umbrella ideology of 'socialism' at the heart of which are 5 beliefs (community, cooperation, equality, class politics and common ownership) based on assumptions about human nature. What you descirbed is very far from socialism/communism indeed, just the highly propagandised, Western view.

IF you could change one thing in this world what would it be?? (nothing inappropriate) only one thing!!! You could add something or take something away anything!!!

In answer to the original question: more education, as that seems to be the only way to reach long term stability and freedom.

So does that mean all the conservatives I know are liberal, and the liberals I know conservative? Conservative: Someone who withdraws resources until they are needed. Liberal: Someone who uses resources whether or not they are necessary. Not political ideologys, but the actual definitions of both. Both have their pros and cons, and are complete opposites.

People who consider themselves ''conservative'' or ''liberal'' do not necessarily fully understand the ideologies behind that label, nor do they have to subscribe to each core belief.

They are different views, but what they do have in common is that they are both ideologies. As such, neither have pros or cons, but are subjective as they are based on certain assumptions.

Definitions:

Liberalism

The moral and ideological stance of liberalism is embodied in a comitment to a distinctive set of values and beliefs. The most important of these are:

- the individual
- freedom
- reason
- justice
- toleration

Conservatism

The most significant of the central beliefs of conservatism are:

- tradition
- human imperfection
- organic society
- hierachy and authority
- property

- justice
- toleration

I have yet to meet a liberal who goes with either of those.

- hierachy and authority

I agree with hierarchy but not authority. More like hierarchy and order.

- property

What type? Free or government?

- human imperfection
- organic society

Exactly what types?

- the individual
- freedom
- reason

These are what I believe in. Except when it comes to getting the job done. None of these get anything done.

- tradition

I halfway agree with this. It makes sense to keep tradition until it doesn't make sense.

So I'm a conserveral?

Well then, you have yet to meet a liberal ideologue. Really though, I can't see how you'd be a liberal and not subscribe to these core values. These people you know who are touting themselves as ''Liberal'' seem very ignorant of their own ideology.

What type? Free or government?

The Conservative values on property can be summarised into 2 fundamental concepts.

-Property

1) Economic incentive. Property should be earned through merit ie. hard work and talent.

2) Property provides social and psychological advantages. Security being the most important example.

Exactly what types?

-Human Imperfection

Conservatives believe that humans ae psychologically limited and dependent creatures who fear isolation and instability, and thus seek the security of 'knowing their place' in an ordered society.

Organic Society

As previously stated, conservatives believe that people are dependent creatures. As such, they are unable to live outside society. As a result, conservatives are reluctant to understand freedom in terms of 'negative freedom', but rather a type in which individuals willingly accept the value of their social obligations, making duties and responsibilities just as important as rights.

These are what I believe in.

Not that Conservatives don't believe in these ideals, but that they have different views on them based on different assumptions.

So I'm a conserveral?

It just means you are not an ideologue. More Liberal leaning myself, I hate how people lump themselves into one group or the other when it comes to politics. I find people like that rather narrow minded and tiresome.

I agree with property and human imperfection. But not organic society. I more or less think that society is an illusion that gives people security.

Sorry for the double post but if property is essentially materialism, why is it a stereotype that conservatives are religious?

Most religious conservatives are probably conservatives not because of their beliefs surrounding property, but those surrounding tradition. It suits theists, in particular fundamentalists for things to stay the way things are.

Also, let's not forget that throughout history organised religion is general has exploited the masses for the purposes of material gain.

I know that part. Example: Catholic Church.

Yes, but isn't that sort of hypocritical? Kind of like freedom and law, just this is about religion.

I guess it is, but that ties into the whole 'human imperfection' idea quite nicely too.

Communism: A hyper extreme version of socialism, usually with a group of people on top. State property is the only kind of property there is, and a one party political system is often enacted to keep those who control the state in power, often with use of a 'secret police.' It is the arch-nemesis of capitalism, as obviously stated by the Cold War. There are two classes of people, the haves and the have nots. There is quite often a large gap between these people, however it is different from a totalitarian system.

That is extremely different from pure Communism.

STATELESS, CLASSLESS SOCIETY MEANS STATELESS, CLASSLESS SOCIETY.

-------

Socialism: The means of a cooperative government between the government and the people, giving everybody equal rights, with the free market inhibited in doing so. People can't use any form of intelligence if they have to wait 20 years to becaome a supervisor for their dead end job. Personal merit is nonexistent, and it is just a means of getting things done as stably as possible, even if it is as inefficient as possible. Example: Unions.

Where'd you get your info? The Capitalist Manifesto? These 'definitions' are so epic fail. . .I'd explain what they really are, but I don't want to reiterate firefly. Don't wipe out an ideology you don't understand.

I would eliminate ignorance. That would solve EVERY problem ever. . . .
