Depends on the scenario. I have parents, but they practically live at work.

My mother is really great, she actually cares about me. My dad...I don't think he'd be too sad if I suddenly died one day. You may be thinking, "No way," but I'm the one who only sees him every few months, 'kay?

What do you mean by that? It's... a weird sentence.

That's a bit harsh. You know that they are right, you just don't want to admit it.
And you'll make the same mistakes as they did, don't worry.
We all do, it's how the human being works

Parents are there to raise you, there are times for fun, and times for learning, and times for other things. It depends.

Parents say that to their kids, to encourage them to pursue their dreams, so they can have a good life, not because they failed to accomplish their own dream

-Look who is telling me, you are a stupid little ***ot, your parents never wanted you.

Ignore him Ga. You'll be the smarter one by doing it.

I think it would be less fun without them in the long run but a few days away would be fun to do what I want, wake up whenever and get good and drunk. But you need the support of parents sometimes to help you. But I was reading an article in the newspaper about home shcooling and it was so scary. The parents think they can do better than the schools "as long as you stay one chapter ahead in the textbook" which is a dumb view. Then again it was better than another article: a Roman Catholic girl, in a very strict family, got pregnant before marriage and instead of admitting what she had done she hid the pregnancy gave birth in secracya nd murdered the kid. I don;t get how sex before marriage is worse than murder. <shakes head> poor thing.

Ah! You'll do that in college soon. : )

I agree with you about home schooling. School isn't just about education, socialization process is one of the goals of going to school.

I love having loving parents. Sometimes they have emotional breakdowns and they dance when they shouldn't, but they are awesome.

They can be nice, mean protective, non-caring, happy, sad and embarrassing.
