First idea:
What is the better thing to do if someone asks you to kill them?

I'll be posting my ideas also.

Anyone have thoughts on this subject?

Or is this a topic that people would rather not breach?

I was withholding comment:

The concept needs a little more detail.

Who is this person? Do I even know them? Why are they asking me to kill them? With what? Will I be legally responsible for their death?

That kind of thing.

Are you saying that you would withhold more with certain people? That people closer to you deserve better? Use your morals, ideas, logic, and most of all, techniques to get your points across and have others view them as right.

Depends on what I kill him with. Of course, I'll most likely get arrested for voluntary manslaughter, which carries a minimum 5 year sentence, so a little more info would be helpful.

I said philisophical, not realistic. Lol. Don't take this too seriously.

If by philosophically you mean no punishment, with whatever, etc. right?

When i say philosophical i mean think deeper. As i said to HiddenDistance (read it), what do you think would be the circumstances. What would have to happen for them wanting to die? etc.

-If you read any posts besides yours you would see that I clearly said that I will bring my layer with me so that the man signs the approval contract.

America my friend has assisted suicide laws. It's still manslaughter.

In all honesty, I wouldn't kill them unless they're going through physical pain. If, of course, they're terminal then ya, I'd kill them. If they're depressed then no, they have medication for that.

If he is in a position where he needs to ask you, do you really think he is capable of it?
Do you do what is good, or do you do what is right?

I am surprised. You ninja'd me, but my post answered both of you.

I don't care about good, I care about right. If I don't have any reason other than they're messed up I ain't doing it. If he's that depressed then he can kill himself.

Well, from reading this, why would anyone kill a man? I honestly don't have the guts to do it. So the guy is probably psychotic anyway, or has some sort of mental disorder for wanting to die. Anyway, if this person came to me, asking for me to kill them, I would most likely check them in the the hospital that has all the men in white jackets. That way he would be safe from himself, and others would be safe from him.

I think this goes deeper than just assisted suicide. I think the question is, 'Would you kill someone at all?'

-Well that is too much philosophy since everybody thinks that he`s doing the right and the good thing.

THANK YOU!

Everything is perception. Now to add another layer...
I am going to devise a perception. Step "into the moccasins" of the person with this perception.

What is good is letting this person live.
What is right is &quotulling the plug".

Now answer.

I agree with you gagamen, if he has the physical, but not the mental capability to die, then he is not ready, no matter the circumstances. I answered from my and my created perspectives. Please attempt this.
