me and my friend r havn an arguement...he says that u can only watch a movie once then it is boring to watch again. now i think that some movies u need to watch more than once to understand them and some movies are just great movies and can b watched countless times. who is right?

It depends on the movie, usually comedies I can watch over. Other movies focus on suprising you so it's good when you first see it. But when you know the suprise or the ending (if it has one) then it's not worth watching over.

k well like everyone is saying, it depends on the movie. for me, i had to see inception twice because the first time i watched and i didnt get the concept, it took me until the second time to get it. I still ove the movie. I also saw dinner for schmucks and ******* 3 twice because those were two of the funniest movies ive ever seen in my life. But nowadays, i dont need to see them twice in the theatres when i can wait a little for the movie to be on netflix on my xbox 360. Boy i love technology.

Personally, there aren't many movies I've watched more than once, for the simple fact that they just aren't, in my opinion, good enough.
A lot of movies are fantastic, yeah, but for me to watch it once, then want to watch it again, and probably again after that, and maybe even more, it'd have to go down on my list of my all time favourites, and there aren't many on there.

I love to watch movies plenty of times makes me understand the plot more. Movies like Incepetion i had to watch 2 times to fully understand the story.

There are very very few that I can.

The only notable movie that qualifies, (watched three times actually) is The Book of Eli.. because the ending is mind blowing and you notice more things the next time around that have to do with the ending.

Of course you can, especially for comedy movies I always watch them about 2-3 times cuz when you watch them only once, you might miss some jokes or you dont fully understand the plot.

I probably wont be able to sit through Saving Pvt. Ryan again, it was one of the best movies I have ever seen but it is too much.

Really? 17.5? What made you stop that 0.5? At that point might as well finish it up for a nice round 18...

It depends on the movie. Most movies, after a long enough time period, I can rewatch. In fact, I tend to like to watch movies twice in a short period of time, to catch things I didn't notice before. However, some movies are bad and I stay away from them. Ick. :P
