me and my friend r havn an arguement...he says that u can only watch a movie once then it is boring to watch again. now i think that some movies u need to watch more than once to understand them and some movies are just great movies and can b watched countless times. who is right?
-> "Unwatchable": those movies that you wouldn't watch even if someone paid you.
-> Average: You watched until the end looking for the conclusion but didn't found it. (those movies you never watch again)
-> Confusing at the time: You watched once but don't fully understanded. You finally got the films idea when watched it again. (you watch these movies 2 times, only for understanding issues)
-> Good but boring: You loved these movies but don't want to watch them again very early. (you watch these movies several times but with a big time gap between each time).
-> GREAT: You watched these movies once, would watch again and would love it just like the first time you watched it. (these movies you enjoy watching even if you watched them 4 times in a week.)
This is my opinion. I've already saw a lots of movies on the latter section, but try to avoid movies from the first rating.
I can watch some movies again. As long as they are good. For example, I can watch James Bond movies quite alot (before I know 1/4 of the script off by heart) and some movies I can't such as How to Train Your Dragon.
Movies that have a pretty complex storyline also can be watched again, (such as Inception).
In general i cant watch a movie twice but lately sometimes depending on the movie i feel like watching it some other day. Mainly suspense or with weird plot.
The plots in new movies are usually so dang thin that you can watch them once and follow everything easily without thinking (Good guy chases bad guy, good guy fights bad guy, good guy wins, woohoo, credits roll). The best movies don't have such thin characters. In the Dollars Trilogy for example, The Man with No Name is sort of an anti-hero and is a very complex character. He's not like the typical protagonist in a film, which makes the movies different from the usual storyline. Even if you've seen it before it's still awesome to watch every time.
I second that opinion. Some movies I can watch ten times in a row, some not even once. I like subtle and intelligent movies and documentaries, or cynical and humorous ones. For example, I've seen Shawn of the dead five times, and I still laugh every time I see it, but I can't endure action packed movies a la hollywood.
some movies you have to watch twice. Like for example if you were little and saw a movie that wasn't age appropriate, a lot of stuff went over your head, so you watch it again and it is funny. That happened with me and School of Rock, I love that movie.
