The movie was kind of confusing but after I still thought about it. On a scale of 1-10 I would rate it...7/10

I hated it and it is the worst movie I have seen in a long time. When it ended people in the cinema didn't leave cos they wouldb;t accept that "that" was the ending. Badly filmed the hand held camera didn;t have to be that bad. and a boring plot.

I saw it on DVD and hated it for all the same reasons as Pixie there. The ending was complete crap and the filming took much more away from the movie than it added.

Mad old thread...

Dang, I didn't see that this thread was old...

I can't say I liked or hated Cloverfield. It was ok, it was confusing to me, and it could have been better. :/ The ending, as said before, was bad.

Yeah it was taped on a hand held camera. It was ridiculously jerky.

Are you kidding me? So it wasn't even a real movie?

It was but the character decided to film what he saw so he could document it or something. I thik it started at someones party so he was just filming people then the "monster" thing game and he just didn't put the camera down.

The story stars out as;

SPOILER!!!!!

The character is supposed to be filming a 'good bye' party for another character who just got a big money making deal, except he has to go to Japan. (Oh the irony, Japan, godzilla, big monster in movie get it?)

Durring the party, you get to meet a few people here and there, and then that's when the lights go out and the ground starts to shake.

The characters then run outside, all the while the video camera is still being held by the character.

Durring the whole movie the camera is recording everything...

END SPOILERS!!!!

Anyway, this IS a movie, but it's in the format of a document or recording.

I heard that it got people motion sickness because it was moving around to much.
