You know that you earn points by commenting other profiles but when they delete the messages, we lose 2 points. I just want to know if the admins or mods would fix this problem. We don't want to lose our 2 points. Can you please try to fix it?

Then there would be some problems, like having one less comment and two ap more. dunno about other probs though.

Well, a lot of people delete comments because the comments were against the rules and guidelines, like if someone spammed up your profile and you deleted the comments, they shouldn't be allowed to keep the points for it. Same thing with flamers. If they went and just posted "you're a loser" on your profile and you delete it, should they be able to keep the points? I don't think so. Unfortunately, it would be extremely difficult to make 2 delete options, one where the person keeps the AP, and one where they don't. Even so, I think that a lot of people just delete other's comments because they are mad at them, which is dumb, but they still do it. So the delete button where the commenter still keeps their ArmorPoints would rarely, if ever, be used.

Because it was spam. Because they want to clean the mess, stuff like that. And it is their profile, there is no reason why the staff should change it.

For the record: Mods do not have the functions to change it. The staff does.

And also: Why worry about AP, it is not fun if you get all serious about loosing a couple of ap of 100, ap that can be earned easily.

why do you want points? does it make you feel better? does it fill some void? Maybe you should try posting better comments on people's profiles if you really want to keep your points.

Like others said, if someone spams your profile and you feel they don't deserve the points then you delete it.

Ya once when me and skater kid were fighting, he got a gold king and I deleted a bunch of his comments and it brought him back down to a silver.

It doesn't matter if they were new or not, you really shouldn't delete comments that aren't spam just because you were in fight with someone. Its just downright disrespectful to the person that you are deleting the comments from.

Yes, iremember that Xcalibur, and i was so glad. I can now say that I gained and lost gold king in one day. Who else can say that?

As for the deleting, why do you care?

I actually deleted about 50 pages of comments. (thats about 5000 comments) very recently. So around 10,000 points were taken from diffrent people.

And point should be taken when they are deleted. I don't know why you care.....

You have 100 points.

You post on my wall.

You have 102 points.

I delete that post.

You have 100 points.

It isn't like you lose points, as much as you just don't gain any.

<-^->

You have 2 routes to take when posting; the honest and sincere one, and the greedy and selfish one.

The honest and sincere route to posting: You post because you want people to read your comment that you left them. The points are nice, but the important thing to you is that the other person receives their message. May it be a message to a friend, or critisism of one's faulty behavior.

If this is the path you take, then you should not worry about losing points from deleted comments. The important thing is that you are able to talk to friends.

The selfish and greedy path: This path is the path of a point mongrel. You don't really care about the people you post too. You only care about points. You may spam people's profiles for points, or you may only pretend to talk to others as a friend. Deep down, it's all about the points. Your friends are only as valuable as the points they help you gain.

If you take this path and your comments are deleted... GOOD! You don't deserve those points!

So don't worry about your comments and how many points you have. Just determine what is and what isn't important. I used to delete every single comment on my profile before I became a mod. Those who cared more about points than being a friend got pissy and stopped talking too me, others continued to talk. I know where my true online friends lie (more or less so).

There isn't anything in need of fixing. The trashcan option is a mighty option, and I have as well as other users, been clearing my messenger. But yeah, other than that Nemo hit it on the dot.

When you post on someone's profile, you run the risk of that comment getting deleted. Everyone has the right to clean up their own profile if they want to. We can't really selectively choose when points are taken away for comments and when they aren't. If points weren't lost when comments were deleted, then we wouldn't really have a way to discipline people for spamming. One of the main reasons that people actually learn their lesson is because they lose points (the reason for spamming in the first place).

The only real way to guarantee you don't lose points is by rating games, because even in the forums the topic you post in, may get deleted.
