why cant we all get along, all this fighting, it is kind of getting, well, to the point where everyone disagrees with everyone else. any comments why we cant get along?
getting along with each other, and debating with each other are two different things.
This is a lot like what I was thinking. When I read it my train of thought sort of derailed. I think it was something to the effect of just because people disagree doesn't mean they don't get along or people are bound to disagree when it comes to their religious and political beliefs or something like that. Like I said total derailment of thought.
As long as people can think for themselves we won't get along. Everyone thinks differently and that's just part of thinking for yourself. The only way everyone would get along is if everyone was exactly the same and never questioned anything that ever happened. I'd prefer to have arguments than live in a world where I couldn't think for myself.
Why do you think words are consord? Why do you think I could get in trouble if my rebuttal to you was "because you're a fuckhead." It's because this is debating, not fighting. Fighting has anger and spite behind it.

Why can't we get along? To many christians, atheists, conservatives and liberals. That's why we can't get along. Get rid of all of those and we can get along
That's a little harsh... If you get rid of them, there wouldn't be anyone left.
Actually there would be people left. Anyone whose not Christian but not an atheist (Jews, Muslims, Buddhaist, Hindus, etc) and anyone who doesn't lean to the right or left of the political spectrum (which is more people than you might think).

The reason why we cannot get along, is because we are human. Most people are alright when it comes to most situations, but all have some little things they will argue and be annoying about. It is natural. Some few have a lot of things they will argue about, and that is up to the rest of us to respect that, when they are unable to respect other opinions themselves. Call it tribal behavior, but that is how we are. Animals do not get along either all the time, it is instinct to protect the pack/herd/so on, and because we have.. "intelligence", the arguing are much more drastic and visible.
Besides that, we focus on the negative, which means we only remember when it went wrong, the times when we didn't get along, while all the good times where everything is as it should be, is forgotten.
We, humans, have different life experiences, and different parents or people who teach us different things. This is a chain; remember this phrase:
"If you give me a kid of 6 years, I'll give you a christian forever"
Do you understand? Lots of points, and things for teach, depend of who is over that person. People should be objective, and try to understand the others view point, and give a logical and reasoning answer to show him another face of the thing you're talking about, and maybe, change his-her opinion, or just make a better point of view.
People that just think their point of view is right, are the ones who do those troubles. I love to talk about lots of things, and I love to watch those things from all possible view points.
"Why can't we all get along?" why can't we have all the same inteligence, or knowledge? That's the answer.

I dont know were you got your facts, but I know for one, that Afghanistan isnt communist. They have had a natural Republic Democracy for ever. They even defeated the Communists when Russia invaded. This said, I doubt most of your "Facts" now.
as long as people hold differnt views, there will be debates. As long as people hold debates, there will soon follow flaming. As long as there is flaming, there will be fights to follow. And when there are fights, there will be battles, and battles to war. With war, comes Peace.
It's simple. We're humans. The human race is egoistic and selfish. Everyone claim that they're nice and kind persons, but in the end they would want that all the candy for them selves instead of sharing with their freinds.
Many best friends say that they would die for each other. I believe that only 3-4% of all people who says that, would actually die for their best friend. The last 97% would save their own butts.
War is ridiculous and so are soldiers. Yeah... right. War is unstopable, I don't think we'll ever be able to stop wars. Sadly. About the soldiers; they're the one having the balls, willing to offer their lives so that you don't have to. So their abseloutly not ridiculous!
