What do you guys think of Joe Jackson? Before when the Jackson 5 were together, Joe was very abusive when they didn't do things correctly. He tried to control all of them . . . until they finally began to lead their own lives. Now, his son is dead . . . and what is he doing? Trying to build his future business ventures. While he was being interviewed, one question asked led him to begin talking about his future business plans.
On a better note . . .Mike left his dad nothing. Joe was not even mentioned in the will. What does that tell you about their relationship?
What do you guys think about this? What do you think his motives are? Why do you think he continues to disrespect his son, even after his death?

I care because I think it's pretty disrespectful to use a death to promote yourself. And Joe was always mean and cruel hearted, but the skin probably did make him more mad. But if you think about it, some of Mike's surgeries were psychologically caused by Joe. Joe would call him big nose, that's why he got his nose done.

What does that have to do with anything? But I would have to say in general. . . it's a mix. You have you r good-hearted people and your bad-hearted people.

i say it's a good only, because it's what the cruel think is good and everyone shows both... but people are more content on doing things for the good of their belief/self

Joe hit Mike = disciplinary so they learn not to do what's bad for them
Joe being super controlling = trying to create a safe place

Yeah. He hit them and controlled them . . . look how much good that did. They were an excellent group, but look what happened to Micheal. He could never really live a normal life.

you can do something bad with good intent

a great example would be Meet the Parents

there is no universal "normal" because... your normal is based on your cultural experiences

look at how many cultures there are in the world

His good intent was to make them famous so he could get rich and live in luxury in his later life. All he cared about was himself. He put his family through hell for his own personal gain.

i read an article that said at the BET awards, he was promoting his music, rather then mourning his son

That's what I am talking about Arkanine . . . that's all he cares about. Just like the past. He is being selfish and greedy and only trying to better himself.

you can't tell anyone's other than your own intent, you can only guess

as i said good for self

you're only looking at one side of this...

No I see Joe's side. He wanted to gain their success to make them famous so he could get rich. That is what he wanted and that is what he got.

that is an observation. you can't know exactly what others want

Why do you think he was doing that? Why do you think he is still selfish enough to promote his music during his son's death? What do you think he wanted?
